Lets be real, Bioware hasn't been Bioware for a decade or more and EA waited this long. It wasn't going to happen.

Its not my point to just deflect 100% of the blame on EA, but they did kept interfering with active development since they took over. If your new boss keeps pushing for no reason and also keeps changing the goal, its gonna be difficult to maintain quality. Bioware lost a lot of quality staff over the years, so it only worsened the situation.

Topic has been discussed to death, so its no use anyways. I just think that Bioware would have been better if EA didnt keep changing the objective.

If your new boss keeps pushing for no reason

It wasn't for "no reason", EA wanted Bioware to turn out more and more profits. They forced Bioware to cut corners to save on salaries, release games before they were finished to bring in more revenue, and most importantly, they pressured Bioware to lose their in-house writers, namely Drew Karpyshyn.

It was the loss of Karpyshyn that saw them rewrite core elements of ME3 which led to the infamously lame red/blue/green ending.

Pretty sure it was also EA that pressured the Dragon Age team to drop the CRPG elements and just become an action game. Given the successes of Larian and Owlcat, I think it's fair to say that a proper CRPG Dragon Age 2 could have actually been really successful.

You're 100% right, EA is responsible for Bioware failing, just wanted to clarify why. Money. Profit.

Yeah I personally think the loss of Drew Karpyshyn was what tanked Bioware. The good news is he's now at Archetype Entertainment with other original Bioware devs with Exodus due to come out next year.
