So I'm not a gamer expert.
But how was Larian able to procure and publish Baldur's Gate 3?
Is there any chance a smaller studio could get rights to Mass Effect to make it?
I'm guessing the answer is no, but I always found it weird BG3 was able to be produced. Was that a special deal with Hasbro?
• u/CptBubbleGum 8h ago If im not mistaken, the baldur's gate ip belongs to Wizards of the coast, not bioware/EA. • u/Random_Useless_Tips 8h ago The whole reason they made Dragon Age was so they could have their own fantasy IP Just like how Mass Effect itself was so they could have their own sci-fi IP independent of Star Wars • u/troublethemindseye 6h ago It annoyed me how Star Wars mass effect was at first. • u/Sweaty_Ranger7476 5h ago Dragon Age had nearly twice the sales of Mass Effect, when the last Dragon Age underperformed EA decided to pull the plug on BioWare. • u/AmiParis248 2m ago It’s honestly crazy how much Inquisition sold, considering I think it’s such a meh game. But it got some GOTY awards, so what the hell do I know. • u/thedylannorwood 8h ago Bingo • u/VincentValentine777x 6h ago
