As a former police K9 handler of two dogs over 15 years I can assure you this handler is an absolute idiot. You never let your dog off leash anywhere there are potential injury hazards.

That’s what I was looking for in the comments, why is he casually letting the dog off leash on what appears to be an overpass/on ramp? And does he throw something at the start to play fetch with him?

There’s a cut in the tape between when he throws it and the dog going over. I cant help but think that’s not a coincidence.

Same thought, the ball probably bounced and went the wrong way.

Yes, i shocked not many comments pointing that out, seems like the cop was playing fetch with the dog on the overpass.
