Not when it trusts its owner; the owner is the idiot…the dog was just loyal. This dog got hurt because the owner was stupid.

Looks like the video was edited to remove the ball or whatever thrown by the officer so as to obscure his fault in causing the whole incident.

A lot of dogs in service are given toy rewards for doing a good job. I suspect that’s what this was. It looks like he threw it one way but if it was a ball it could have eventually bounced over the edge or got caught in the breeze if it was light enough. Still sad this happened, it’s still an accident either way as I don’t honestly think the ball was deliberately thrown over the edge.
