Dog has better healthcare than most Americans. I am glad he's okay, though

Healthcare is the same. Difference is the dog won't have to file for bankrupcy for that helicopter ride.

Hell, for some Americans, an ambulance ride can bankrupt you.

So glad the dog is ok though. Also, he shouldn’t be playing fetch on that road with a giant drop off. Jesus

To your point re:ambulance rides - an ambulance ride followed my credit report around for years because I never paid them. However, I never received a bill because I’d moved since then and for whatever reason, it was never forwarded.
Upon looking into it, it turns out they never even bothered to bill my insurance (which should’ve covered 100%) so I was under the impression it had been taken care of. It took 5 YEARS and hours of phone calls, and pages of documentation to get that wiped from my credit report. And then it was only wiped from one and still on the other two. 😡
Thank goodness it’s since been resolved, but that should’ve never even happened in the first place.
And that was only 1 of 2 errors on my credit report….
Anyway, you’re right - American healthcare is fucked. The credit system is jacked. Politics is out of control. And we’re meant to be placated with occasional protests and voting.

My daughter had Medicaid. She had a seizure, and by the time the ambulance got there she was back to baseline. Not needing transported, we declined a tranfer to the hospital. Was billed $10,000. When I called to ask about it they literally said if we had done the ride it was free, since we declined they had to bill us. Made no sense. Got it cleared immediately after throwing a few words out
