Promo / Giveaway Just Remote: one phone remote for all your TVs

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I built Just Remote because our living room had a remote for every box, and none of them were ever where I left them. It finds the TVs on your Wi-Fi and turns your phone into a proper remote for all of them. No ads, no account, it talks to your TV directly over your home network.

What it can do

Finds and pairs in seconds

Open it and your TVs show up on their own: Apple TV, Android TV / Google TV, plus Samsung, LG and Roku. Pair once with the code on your TV and you're in.

A real remote, not a toy

Swipe trackpad, every button, volume and power, shortcuts to your apps. And you can type or paste into the TV from your phone's keyboard: no ADB, no developer options, so it works on boxes that block ADB too.

TV + box as one remote

Apple TV or Shield plugged into a Samsung or LG? Pair them: the box gets the trackpad, the TV gets volume, power and HDMI inputs, and one switch at the top flips between them.

Make it yours

Remote styles (Classic, Media, Joystick, Buttons), themes, or build your own layout. There's also a remote in the notification shade, so pause is one swipe away.

Free and Pro

Free: one TV with the classic remote and a few app shortcuts, no ads, no time limit. Pro unlocks more TVs, TV + box pairs, styles, themes, the layout builder and the shade remote.

Download here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cacaobob.justremote

Giving away 100 Pro lifetime codes! The first 100 comments in this format get a code by DM, one per account:

TV: LG C3

Box: Nvidia Shield (or "none")

Only comments with your TV (and box, if you have one) count, so "code pls" won't get one until you add your setup. I send codes in batches, so give me a few hours, and I'll update this post when they're gone. No review needed, and I'll never ask you for anything in a DM.

Edit: all codes are claimed, thanks everyone! If you commented with your setup before this edit, your code is on its way by DM (Reddit is rate-limiting me, so a few are still queued).

Edit 2: Redeemed your code but the app says "No Pro purchases found"? If your phone has more than one Google account, Google Play checks purchases on the account Just Remote was installed from. Fix: find the account where the purchase "Just Remote Pro (Lifetime)" shows in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history → uninstall Just Remote → switch the Play Store to that account → search "Just Remote" in the Play Store (no links) and install. Pro switches on by itself when you open the app.

Promo / Giveaway Cavet - minimal, search-first launcher | 50 Keys

Post image
34 Upvotes

App Name: Cavet Launcher

What it does: A minimalist home screen that opens with the search field focused and the keyboard up, so you type what you want instead of hunting through icons.

Key Features:

- One search for the whole phone: apps (typo-tolerant, "yt" finds YouTube), contacts (call or text from the row), calendar events, files, system settings ("wifi", "do not disturb"), app shortcuts, and the web engine of your choice when nothing on the phone matches.

- Answers, not just results: calculator (20% of 80), unit conversion (10 cm in inches), live currency rates (100 usd in eur), and timers and alarms (timer 10 min starts it in your own clock app).

- It learns quietly: your most-used apps sit above the empty field, and it remembers what you picked for each query, so the second time you type "yt", YouTube is already on top. Pin anything that should never move.

- A calm home screen: a clock with a status line (next alarm, next event, weather), a widget beside it, a media card with real controls, notification badges, hidden apps behind your fingerprint, and the app drawer one swipe away.

- Private by design: no accounts, no analytics, no ads. It only goes online for web suggestions (off by default), exchange rates and the weather (off by default), and notifications are counted, never read.

Goal: Launch / Promo / Feedback. Cavet Launcher is now live on Google Play for everyone. I'd appreciate any feedback.

Giveaway: 50 Codes for Android, please upvote this post and send me a DM

Cost: Freemium, Pro is only for additional personalization

Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jkbhf.cavet.launcher

Feedback and ideas: Would love some feedback under this post, there's also a feedback section inside the app with a e-mail and a telegram group.

Hi everyone!

My first app, Platon Sudoku, is now live on Google Play after a three-day review. It’s a classic Sudoku game for Android. Thank you to everyone who tested it and shared feedback along the way.

To celebrate the launch, I’d like to give free Lifetime Premium upgrades to the first 50 eligible players who request one.

A few things about the game:

• Offline Sudoku across five difficulty levels, from Easy to Extreme.

• Step-by-step Smart Hints that explain the logic behind a move.

• No forced ads interrupting your game.

The core game is free. Optional rewarded ads can provide extra hints when available. Lifetime Premium includes unlimited Smart Hints and no ads. It’s a one-time upgrade, with no subscription.

If you enjoy Sudoku, give it a try:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.platongames.sudoku

How to request Lifetime Premium

Leave a comment below saying you’d like a code. I’ll process visible requests in chronological order, one per person and Reddit account, up to 50 places. Please request one only if you don’t already own Lifetime Premium and can install the game and redeem Google Play codes in your country.

I’ll review requests every 12 hours, generate codes for eligible requests in batches, and send them by private message once each batch is active. I’ll use the longest redemption period Google Play allows and include the exact deadline in your message. Once redeemed, Premium does not expire.

Requests close seven days after this post is published, or when all 50 places are allocated or reserved, whichever comes first. If I can’t message you, I’ll reply to your comment and ask you to message me.

No upvote, follow, rating, review or proof of installation is required. Feedback is welcome but entirely optional.

This giveaway is run by me, the developer, independently of Reddit and Google.

What matters most to you in a Sudoku app?

Showcase 📝 Like the Keep widget, but for Markdown notes

Post image
9 Upvotes

I moved my notes from Google Keep to plain Markdown files (Obsidian, Markor, any editor) and missed the Keep widget most, so I built one. 🛠️

✨ What it does

- 🗂️ Shows notes from a folder as cards or a compact list

- 👆 Tap a note to open it in Obsidian or any Markdown app

- ⚡ Quick note button adds a bullet or a ☑️ checkbox to a file you choose

- 🎨 Background colour and transparency to match your wallpaper

- 🔄 Optional label that warns when your git sync stopped

🔒 Free, no ads, no account. Notes stay as plain files on your phone. Open source (GPL-3.0), and the GitHub build has no internet permission at all.

📲 Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.marfolog.noteswidgetformarkdown

💬 Feedback is very welcome, most of the last update came from Reddit comments.

Showcase VisionComfort – Read More Comfortably on Android

Hi everyone!

I've been developing VisionComfort: Eye Care, a free Android app designed to help people read more comfortably on their phones and build better screen habits.

The idea is simple: Your Screen. Your Comfort.

Here's what VisionComfort offers:

✅ Vision Comfort Check – Discover your preferred reading settings.

✅ Web Reader – Enjoy more comfortable web reading with adjustable text.

✅ Smart Breaks – Get reminders to take screen breaks.

✅ Daily Reset – Short, interactive activities to encourage healthier screen habits.

✅ Comfort Tracking – Monitor daily screen time, comfort scores, and progress.

The app focuses on everyday visual comfort, not medical diagnosis or vision correction.

I'd genuinely appreciate your feedback, especially on the reading comfort features and what could make the app more useful.

Showcase Sound Fun - play with direction pitch and speed

Post image
5 Upvotes

I build this to play with my kid - they enjoy it! Thought I’d tidy it up a bit and share it.

A small fun sound experiment app. Record something - your voice, music, a random noise - and then you can: reverse it, speed it up, slow it down, make it high pitched or low pitched. You can adjust speed / direction and pitch independantly and save the sound if you get something you like.

It's low ads (just a banner no interstitial), but you can remove the banner ad if you want to support development or it just really bugs you.

A fun suggestion: Record yourself saying something. Reverse it at normal speed and pitch. Listen to it in reverse. Hit record and try and say it back like you heard. When you press stop, you'll hear yourself saying the reverse words, already reversed - see how close you cqn get it to sounding good! 😂

Showcase new Wordly update is here - I’d love your thought

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hey everyone! A new Wordly update is live on Android, and I wanted to share a bit about what I’ve been working on.

I’ve added more words and spent time making the game feel smoother to play. I’ve also polished the way the app moves between screens and fixed a number of small visual issues. Some of the changes are subtle, but I hope they make Wordly feel better each time you open it.

If you’ve played the update, I’d really like to hear what you think. Does it feel smoother on your phone? Is there anything that still feels slow, confusing, or awkward? You don’t need to write a detailed bug report—a quick comment is helpful, and screenshots are always welcome if you spot something strange.

I’m still working on Wordly, and the feedback people share here helps me decide what to improve next. Thanks to everyone who’s been playing and taking the time to tell me what they think.

Play on Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hzfapps.wordly

I’m also getting the iOS version ready for the App Store. I’ll let you know when it’s available.

Promo / Giveaway [Greenfocus] To celebrate the launch 100 FREECODE

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hey everyone 👋

I'm a dev and I built GreenFocus, an Android app that actually blocks distracting apps while you focus. I'm giving away 100 codes for 1 month of Premium, free.

Download it here 👉 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hatilasmaximo.greenfocus3

What it does:

🌿 Zen AI coach — tell it your goal and it builds a small plan with you: which habits, how long to focus, and why each step matters. It can also plan your day or help when you're procrastinating.

🔒 Real app blocking — pick the apps that pull you away (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube…) and they're locked for the whole focus session.

✅ Habits & goals — build daily habits, set a goal with a deadline, and keep a streak going.

The app is free to use. Premium unlocks Zen, longer focus sessions and more blocked apps.

How to get your free month:

  1. Comment "code" below or send me a DM
  2. I'll send you a personal code
  3. In the Play Store, tap your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Redeem code, and paste it
  4. Open GreenFocus and Premium is unlocked

Fine print: Android only. You can cancel anytime in Google Play before the trial ends and you won't be charged.

I'd really love honest feedback: what's missing, what's annoying, what would make you keep using it.

Showcase I built ProofShutter - a timestamp & GPS camera

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I'm a solo developer, and I recently released ProofShutter, a simple Android camera app designed for people who need to document their work with photos.

The idea is straightforward: take a photo and include useful information like the date, time, GPS location, and project details.

I built it with field inspections, construction progress, maintenance work, and similar use cases in mind.

I'm still in the early stages and would really appreciate some honest feedback.

A few things I'm curious about:

  • Is the photo stamping workflow simple enough?
  • What information would you normally want included in a work photo?
  • Is there anything that would make this useful for your daily work?

The app is free to try and currently supported by ads.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.anonymonkeys.timestamp.camera

Thanks for checking it out! I'm actively working on improving it based on feedback.

Showcase StickAZ: I got tired of massive ads for a sticker

Post image
5 Upvotes

I got tired of waiting 30 SECONDS (sometimes a minute and a half) just to add a sticker pack to WhatsApp (because there was always more than one ad dang). So I though about making my own app.

At first it was just for me. A friend tried it and said, ‘Dude, this is actually pretty cool. Put it on the Play Store.’ So I did (Getting 12 people wasn't easy as a classic socially weird IT dude).

I kept adding the stuff I wanted: stickers from photos or videos, background cutouts, and a small Explore section for sharing packs. It’s pretty quiet there so far, I’ve only uploaded a few of my own.

It’s free, with VERY VERY LITTLE ads. I kept them out of the editor and didn’t want people forced to watch a 30-second video just to add a pack to WhatsApp.

(although I've added a small button to sustain me with an ad donation, like you watch ad as a good samaritan gesture so I can repay my vps... not only that but if you watch enough of them you get the PRO VERSION! WHICH is... app completely without ads... and a pro label on top, crazy stuff)

Here it is: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stikz.v23.app

I’d be curious what you think.

Showcase I made a free captions app for Android

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hey all, I’m the dev. Sharing YapCap, which I released a couple of weeks ago.

What it does: you pick a video, it transcribes it and puts word-by-word captions on it (the spoken word highlights as it plays, like CapCut’s auto captions). Then you pick a style, drag the captions wherever, and export to your gallery.

Why I built it: every captions app I tried either wanted a subscription, watermarked the export, or uploaded my whole video to their servers. I wanted something that just does captions and stays out of the way.

What’s in it:

  • 46 caption styles (karaoke, pill, neon, comic, podcast etc.), 24 fonts, full colour/outline/shadow control
  • Second speaker is detected automatically and gets its own colour
  • 70 languages, auto-detect or manual, plus translate-to-English. Nepali and Hindi work properly, that was a big reason I built it
  • Export original / 1080p / 720p
  • No account, no subscription, no ads, no tracking, no watermark
  • Android 7+

The one honest catch: transcription runs on Groq’s free speech API, and you bring your own key. It’s a 1-minute signup, no card, and the free daily allowance covers way more than normal use. I did it this way so I don’t run servers, don’t see your audio, and don’t have to charge anyone. Your video itself never gets uploaded, only the audio of that clip goes to Groq for transcription, and the app draws the captions on-device.

Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nitsofts.yapcap

Happy to answer anything. If you try it and something breaks or looks off, tell me, it’s early and I’m fixing stuff fast.

Showcase Danyeon Map - Your trip photos, pinned on a map -

Post image
5 Upvotes

**Cost**

Free

**What it does**

Danyeon Map reads the location already saved in your photos and pins each one on a map where you took it. Tap a pin and that day's photos open, so the map becomes your travel album.

**Key features**

- One tap to import: a demo set of 410 photos became 137 places, no typing or check-ins

- Home stays private: places that look like home are detected, and their pins are left out when you share your map

- Travel cards: turn one photo into a card with the place and date to send to whoever you traveled with

**Goal**

I'm a solo developer in Korea. I built this because my trip photos were just sitting in my camera roll. I'd love feedback on the import flow and the sharing privacy.

Showcase DualSub — learn languages with video subtitles

App: DualSub

I'm the developer of DualSub, an Android app for turning videos into language practice. The idea is to help you understand a short piece of real dialogue, replay it and keep the words you want to remember.

What it does

• Original and translated subtitles, with the option to hide the translation until you need it.

• Repeat a phrase or automatically pause at the end of a subtitle.

• Tap a word for its meaning and pronunciation, then save it with an example for vocabulary review.

• Use compatible YouTube videos or your own local video files.

• Guided listening routes are available in beta for English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese and Korean. Coverage varies by language and level.

Who it's for

Language learners who enjoy watching videos but want a more active routine. One way to use it: listen to a short clip with the translation hidden, replay the sentence you missed, reveal the translation and save one or two useful words.

Cost

Free with ads, with an optional Premium subscription. US pricing: $4.99/month or $29.99/year; local prices are shown in Google Play. Some features require Premium. No giveaway or promotional discount in this post.

Download

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.languagereactorclone&referrer=utm_source%3Dreddit%26utm_medium%3Dorganic_social%26utm_campaign%3Ddualsub_oct2026%26utm_content%3Ddroidappshowcase

A few limits

Subtitle availability depends on the video, automatic translations can make mistakes, and the guided routes are still in beta. DualSub doesn't supply a film or TV catalogue.

Which part of learning with videos is hardest for you: finding something at the right level, understanding the dialogue, or returning to the words you saved?

Product preview — illustrative scenes, showing the subtitle controls.

Hi r/droidappshowcase! 👋

🎁 GIVEAWAY — 10× lifetime Premium codes inside, details at the bottom.

I'm a solo indie developer, and I'd love to share my passion project that

I built GlowDeck because I wanted a smooth, truly integrated customization

engine rather than heavy, standalone Android widgets (RemoteViews) stacked

on top of a static background. GlowDeck renders interactive 3D widgets,

photo tiles, and dynamic backgrounds directly on the Live Wallpaper layer

using native OpenGL ES 3.0 and custom GLSL shaders.

Key Features:

- 📸 6 Photo Widgets: Ken Burns motion, 3D flip tiles, depth gallery,

hexagonal sphere & mosaic, and a cinematic photo stream.

- 📝 Notes & Checklists: Sticky notes and checklists rendered right on

your wallpaper — tap a note to jump straight into editing.

- ⚙️ 25 Widgets Total: clock, calendar, shortcut dock, system stats orb,

custom text — all GPU-rendered, all customizable.

- 🌌 Dynamic Shader Backgrounds: heart tunnel, black hole galaxy with

accretion disk, smoke, aurora, plasma and more.

- 🎲 One-Tap Randomizer: roll the dice to instantly re-skin your wallpaper

— new background effect + matching color theme per screen.

- 📱 Multi-Screen: swipe between screens with their own widgets AND

backgrounds.

Performance & Privacy First:

- Event-Driven Rendering: ~0% CPU/GPU when the wallpaper isn't visible —

frames only draw when something actually changes.

- No Accounts, No Developer Analytics: all data (notes, photos, calendar)

stays on your device. The app contains ads via Google AdMob — Google's

standard ad privacy options apply.

Pricing Model (Freemium & Fair Play):

The core features are completely free. You can unlock all Premium widgets

for 30 minutes by watching a single rewarded ad — or grab a one-time

Lifetime Purchase (no subscriptions!) if you want to support an indie dev.

🎁 GIVEAWAY — 10× lifetime Premium codes

- To enter: leave a comment — anything works: a question, a feature

request, or just what wallpaper you're using now.

- Drawing: 25.10 at ~21:00 — winners picked randomly via redditraffler.

- Winners announced in a post edit + get the code via DM (redeemable

in Play Store → unlocks Premium forever).

Honest compatibility note: works on stock launchers and Nova (that's what

I test on). Swipe parallax and multi-screen swiping depend on the launcher

streaming wallpaper offsets — your mileage may vary on "silent" launchers.

I'd love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any feature requests! If you

run into bugs on specific device setups, let me know in the comments and

I'll push an update ASAP.

Thanks for checking it out! 👊
