As someone from the US, this is disparaging to third world countries. Thanks to the presence of international aid organizations, they usually have access to more free health care than the US.
Also couldnt be more stupidly wrong given the origin of the terms. But thats the level of modern discourse: morons changed "literally" to mean "figuratively" just with their overwhelming dumbassery, so im sure someone will be along shortly to argue why its not completely mentally handicapped.
You’re right, why should my taxes go to paying for services to make my life better? They should go to funding wars and invading other countries, instead.
You have to pay the taxes, either way. I’d prefer the single payer healthcare system over having a large military that’s largely ineffective and has a history of constantly losing pointless wars they start.
My country's free healthcare system doesn't work, even though it has one of the highest tax rates in history. People are dying in the waiting lines for treatment. I would like to don't play for It and save money for privace care, but I can't.
That’s what’s best about the US system: comparable wait times, but it costs you an arm and a leg (sometimes literally!)
And ask yourself, “why does the government paid healthcare have problems?” It’s probably the government defunding it to try and push in privatized healthcare… if it’s anything like what’s happening with mine
