Forever Beta Feedback Revert Dungeon EXP changes.

Just fighting the good fight again. Punishing players who want to group up and play with friends is wrong and feels bad.

Not to mention issues like potentially lowering the amount of tanks and healers who want to get into dungeon and group content because they can no longer level via dungeons effectively.

You think you are stopping the boosters and super sweats in their tracks, but you are mistaken. The sweats will just sweat to 60 anyway they can.

You are hurting the average gamer who just likes running dungeons for a few hours here and there with friends when they want a break from solo questing. Actual social gameplay is being punished here and it’s sad.

There can’t be enough posts about this stupid change.
NOONE forces you to dungeon spam. But BLIZZARDS CHAGES forces EVERYONE to feel like wasting time running a dungeon even a second time.

I mean why would you put hours over hours into a new dungeon that will most Player will not run a 2. time?

Seriously. It's just taking away a leveling avenue for players. The players that liked that avenue are pissed and the people that didn't like it are happy because now they don't feel compelled to do something they already weren't doing??? Doesn't make sense.

"But BLIZZARDS CHAGES forces EVERYONE to feel like wasting time running a dungeon even a second time."

At some points i felt like questing is a waste of time, how is it different?

Questing does not feel like a waste of time.

Of course it does when you realise that you can be much faster basically afk in SM instead, wdym.

Well now we’re talking about boosting. There are better ways to fix boosting. For this conversation, I thought we were talking about the first month or so of leveling when no one is really boosting.

I was tlking about lvling, farming SM is basically being afk and is in fact more efficient than questing.

Only if you’re in a perfect group of 5 sweat lords who don’t value their sanity. In reality, with a group of average gamers, after about 3 runs someone will drop out. And now you’ve gotta wait to find someone else, and wait for them to run to SM. Questing ends up being much more efficient when you don’t have to account for that

Not really, half decent spellcleave outfarms questing quite easily, especially on launch, and as i am a warlock i dont really have the issue of someone running in. Dung grinding is just too good

It’s great when it’s working smoothly. But it’s challenging to require 4 other people committing to a nonstop grind.

Then switch between questing and dungeoning to level. It's a good way to break up the leveling. Having one of those avenues not viable makes the leveling experience not as good as it once was.

Personally i dont enjoy just mindlessly grinding dungeons for hours, unless its tryharding with my fellas and classic is way too long for that. So i would prefer the option where i dont feel like i am forced into grinding dungs.

What forces you to grind dungeons?

-3

u/WeightVegetable106 10h ago

The feeling that i am wasting time questing, the same force that is forci the guy that started this thread

Except the best dungeon spell cleave grinding was roughly 20% better than questing

https://www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/s/0XZtfwR9S6

So imagine how "forced" people feel that questing is about 416% better.

To be fair, the "best dungeon cleave" in the calculation is forced to be afk for 10min every hour because they are too fast, so they dont really have to be the best.

"So imagine how "forced" people feel that questing is about 416% better."

Eh, not 416%, not sure where you got that, but significantly better, you are right about that. I understand why it sucks for the other side, but can the questers have one fresh pls? I do realise its selfish, but you had all the other freshes.

There can only be 5 dungeon id's an hour, yes. So there are already factors in place limiting dungeon XP.

Going from 24% experience/hr to 100% is a 416% increase.

Bro this ain't a you vs me things. Questing has always been fine. Dungeons aren't right now.

Just let dungeons be within 20% of questing, like questing has always been with dungeon grinding (or better, often times).

"There can only be 5 dungeon id's an hour, yes. So there are already factors in place limiting dungeon XP."

Yeah, but the limit was way too high

"Going from 24% experience/hr to 100% is a 416% increase."

You were comparing it to the quests tho

"Bro this ain't a you vs me things. Questing has always been fine. Dungeons aren't right now."

Yeah, kinda true

"Just let dungeons be within 20% of questing, like questing has always been with dungeon grinding (or better, often times)."

I am not against that, as long as i dont feel forced into dung grinding i think its fine, that means nerf compared to the original tho, quite a significant one.

The point of the game when leveling is to gain xp, not to rp walk around marveling at the godrays for hours on end. Holy shit you people are obtuse.

1

u/WeightVegetable106 5h ago

Agreed, but i dont wanna feel bored when gaining xp, and lvling in dungs is quite boring for me atleast.

1

u/Tyler1986 5h ago

When?

1

u/WeightVegetable106 5h ago

Like during the whole SM and ZF part spellcleaving is just way better without much effort

•

u/Tyler1986 4h ago

I think the idea is that the 1000 new quests will ease some of those lull points in the questing leveling path.

•

u/WeightVegetable106 4h ago

I really dont think the quests were the issuel, the dungeons are just way too good for lvling. I mean, if they buffed the questing by 20% i wouldnt be against you keeping the dung xp rates, but the questing would may be too short

•

u/Tyler1986 4h ago

So let me get this straight: Who want to nerf dungeon xp so that your preferred way to level (questing) is better? You don't have a problem with me being forced between leveling the way I'd prefer to (dungeons) and the more efficient path of questing. But you are not ok if the way I prefer to level is better than the way you prefer to because then you'd feel like you have to level my way?

Is that right?

•

u/WeightVegetable106 4h ago

Yeah, you got it. I do realise that it is selfish, but at the same time i believe that it cannot ever be really balanced. I believe that one of them has to be better. Until now it was dung grinding so i think it would be fair if it would be questing for one fresh. But again, i do realise its a bit selfish.

•

u/Tyler1986 2h ago

Questing as always been the faster path 1-60. Dungeon grinding might be optimal for certain level ranges where quests had lulls, but they've added over 1k new quests to address that.

Anyway, I disagree with you, both specifically here and generally in principle, but I respect you sticking to your guns.
