Forever Beta Feedback Revert Dungeon EXP changes.

Just fighting the good fight again. Punishing players who want to group up and play with friends is wrong and feels bad.

Not to mention issues like potentially lowering the amount of tanks and healers who want to get into dungeon and group content because they can no longer level via dungeons effectively.

You think you are stopping the boosters and super sweats in their tracks, but you are mistaken. The sweats will just sweat to 60 anyway they can.

You are hurting the average gamer who just likes running dungeons for a few hours here and there with friends when they want a break from solo questing. Actual social gameplay is being punished here and it’s sad.

I just did a full run of City of Dalaran and got about 3 bars of xp.

It took little over an hour waiting to get a tank (I’m healer) and waiting for them to get there. Then it took nearly an hour doing the actual dungeon (we had to replace a guy who left due to his quest being done).

I’m pretty sure I could have gotten more than 3 bars of xp in 2 hours doing quests, but I love the social aspect of dungeons, just wish it was more rewarding.

Edit:
All these excuses "it's the end of beta" "why go if you already did the quests"
It took long because people sign up from all over the world, so it takes time for everyone to get there.
And why go dungeon if I already did the quests?
Because i want to. I enjoy healing dungeons. Why must dungeoneers be punished? If dungeons is viable - what exactly is taken away from you as a player who enjoys solo questing? why can't both be viable?

I don't understand this dungeon hate. If people enjoy RP'ing, be my guest, even if it's not my jam, it doesn't ruin anything for me.

Go have fun and play how you want to play!

The insane part is blizzards comparison is xp/h once you are doing the dungeon. Ignoring the travel time. Slacking teammates or DC's and replacements.

It's worse than that. They're doing XP/hr on perfect spellcleave AoE pulls.

For most players this is unobtainable levels of sweat.

Aggrends fat dwarf paladin ass was denied into a sm spellcleave run and he has been salty asf about it ever since. This is the result

What? That's nonsense. Every single dungeon in beta was pulls getting aoed down, from ragefire chasm all the way through scarlet monastery. The dungeons weren't hard, with the possible exception of the raptor mechanics in excavation site being very very dangerous.

Doubting that the people whining in this thread even played.

Show me a single video of a streamer in the beta aoe spell cleaving dungeons to level up. Hell, anyone with a video of them leveling like Blizzard thinks we all do cleaving dungeons to level cap.

You won't find it, because it doesn't happen, and you people are deranged little weirdos who don't want to shift xp away from quests towards the dungeon mobs.

Maybe you intended to reply to the other poster? I don't even recall exactly what they said, but it was some ignorant nonsense from someone joining the doomer train with people who very obviously haven't played the beta.

My point is that clearing the dungeons is easy, and AoEs from various classes were widely used. It wasn't unusual special sauce only available to a select few elite players. It was the standard for trash pulls to be quickly eliminated. Wipes were rare (again, outside of Excavation site, which is very short, and has a very dangerous middle section)

The only deranged little weirdos are the people in this sub that haven't played, don't understand that healing/tanking specs are totally viable and effective to level with in Forever, and refuse to accept that the dev team simply doesn't want people grinding dungeons over and over again from 14 to 60 without getting out into the world on a consistent basis.

Dungeon xp could stand to be increased a bit, maybe 20% more from where it is now so repeat runs feel a little better, but a full reversion would be a bad move. People will do the dungeons. People will do the same dungeons more than once, because some of those drops will carry you through 8+ levels. There are more dungeons scattered through the level ranges than ever, so there will be consistent demand for healer/tank specs through the whole leveling band.

And. And! If it ends up being an actual problem? The dev team will make adjustments.

God when the world of warcraft community decides to get stupid, it gets real fuckin' stupid.
