They've caused so, so many issues. Regardless of if you like the HD faces or not, they've completely butchered the models themselves and the animations.
Even if you disable the HD models, the animations are not true to vanilla. They're missing frames, the animations are different in some cases, and some are missing certain animations entirely.
Textures don't fit the skeletons, and are stretched/scrunched in various places and look awful. Hair and shields are floating off of bodies, weapons aren't held correctly.
The whole thing looks like a sloppy amateur mess hastily thrown together at the last minute. And again...all they had to do was just the original vanilla models. I still haven't heard a valid reason why they haven't done that.
Both sides suffer from Blizzard trying to have their cake and eat it.
If they just had HD models at least we'd have the full suite of retail customisation and gear that fit okay. There'd be grumbling but ultimately people would adjust as we did in WoD.
But if they just had SD models at least there wouldn't be animation bugs and jank and things would look and work as expected.
Trying to appease everybody and then doing weird shit like putting SD animations into the HD models is just annoying everyone.
There's unfortunately a good reason why SD/HD toggle did not last long on retail.
I'm hoping it'll get fixed over time if we keep reporting issues but they've basically doubled their workload and semi broken both SD and HD in the process.
Good, thank god it doesnt look and move exactly like Vanilla. Isn't that kind of the whole point? If you're that in love with Vanilla, play Vanilla. The game clearly isn't meant for you fringe minority, and thats okay.

Just put vanilla skeletons back in the game already. It's so fucking simple and it's the only fix to all of this.
