Minoxidil is extremely toxic to cats and dogs. Even tiny amounts transferred from your skin, hair, or bedding to their fur, and licked off during grooming, can cause severe health issues and potential fatality

I suppose I will need to monitor this more closely in my house. My wife and mother have been using it for years and seemingly no accidental exposure for my two cats. That said, reading up on it tells me it's super serious.

I will say there is an oral option for humans. I imagine the risk to pets is much lower, in case you're still interested in pursuing the benefits.
