NSFW Question š Both Israel and Saudi Arabia receive US military support. Both are fighting Iranian proxies. Both conflicts have resulted in man-made famines and humanitarian crises. So why does only one make the news?
100,000 Yemini children have died from starvation in ongoing conflicts between Saudi Arabia with US aid against the Houthis with Iranian aid.
The UN printed this report as recently as 22 September 2026
https://news.un.org/en/story/2026/09/1168390
But why doesn't it make headlines in American newspapers? Why does no one talk about the influence of the Saudis over the White House?

u/Archarchery 1d ago
Saudi Arabiaās military doesnāt receive direct funding from the US like Israelās does. Saudi Arabia pays for everything itself.
So Saudi Arabia is a US ally, but Israel is an outright client state funded by the US.
8
u/hereawhile 1d ago
So because Saudi Arabia pays billions for US weapons and assets, it's fine that the US supplies and provides it with all the intelligence and logistical support it needs?
6
u/NOLA-Bronco 1d ago
I imagine if Saudi Arabia started systematically murdering tens of thousands of children and spent a billion a year on aggressive unapologetic Saudi Arabia bot armies to harass and gaslight Americans incessantly. Telling them that opposing Saudi Arabia is racist and you should lose your job for criticizing the special relationship America and Saudi Arabia supposedly has.
It might get a commensurate level of backlash....
And proof to this is that there was in fact a whole month long cycle of broad backlash when Saudi Arabia did their shitty comedian tour to whitewash their country.
Now imagine that is also covering up 30k dead children and they keep trying to gaslight you 24/7 for 3 years straight Including still making threads like this one on Reddit with swarms of Zionist defenders descending to drop the same talking points
14
u/hereawhile 1d ago
Saudi Arabia quite literally did spend years bombing Yemen and enacted a blockade that caused a famine, around 150,000 people were killed in direct violence and another 100,000-200,000 indirect deaths from famine and other conditions. Are you living under a rock?

2
u/NOLA-Bronco 23h ago edited 23h ago
Think you need to read that post again and use some context clue skills to derive the point.
Saudi Arabia is an objectively awful US proxy doing plenty or terrible things and occasionally it does create outrage(the common attack on the left against Obama is expanding extrajudicial drone strikes, Libya, and backing Saleh and then Hadi in the face of the Arab Spring and the civil war fueled by our proxy), but it doesn't have the Streisand Effect of a billion dollars dumped to fund a Hasbara army that relentlessly keeps trying to gaslight about the greatness and innocence of their emotional support apartheid state. And it is also fundamentally a different dynamic. Yemen was a civil war, Palestine is an occupied territory subjected to systematic genocide.
I.E. The irony with Israel and its defense forces is that all the sustained and outsized attempts to control and censor American's over Israel has created its own blowback and ensures people's anger at Israel never goes away and just keeps deepening.

"America only directly funds 10% of the holocaust" isn't quite the defense of the situation that you might think it is.
→ More replies (1)1
u/Raligon 12h ago
Comparing the Holocaust to what's happening in Gaza is ridiculous. The death toll in Gaza is around 70k-80k. The Holocaust was six million Jews alone, not even counting other victims. ~66% of Jews that lived in all of Europe were killed, not Jews in Germany or Poland alone. Around 3-4% of the Palestinians in Gaza specifically have been killed. If you look at the total Palestinian population in Israel, Gaza and the West Bank, it is around 1%.
2
u/No_Coast3932 9h ago
It's disrespectful regardless of exact numbers. The Holocaust was a massive, world-wide initiative, tracking Jews down in other countries to attempt to annhiliate the entire worldwide population and culture.
It would be like if Israel intentionally and successfully murdered the entire population of the West Bank and Gaza, and then conquered nearly all the Arab countries in the world, killing most/all the Arabs in those nations as well, with only tiny populations who fled surviving.

u/Stoked_Otter 8h ago

And Israel funding isn't dollars; it's a subsidy towards the cost of military purchased from US Defence contractors.
The money goes to US citizens working for them.
Israel is also typically the first country to use that technology in actual combat against Islamic extremists- that information is fed back to the contractor to make their technology better.
Sounds more like a partnership than a vassal state.
→ More replies (1)3
u/Solid_Bobcat2267 1d ago
Framing the slaughter of a captive population as a 'partnership' where Israel acts as a live-fire R&D laboratory to feed information back to American defense contractors is peak dystopian propaganda.Ā
First, you are repeating the same economically illiterate point. Money is fungible. When the US subsidizes Israelās defense bill, it frees up billions in Israel's domestic budget to pay for universal healthcare , free education and paid vacations - something the American taxpayers footing the bill don't even get.
Further, your claim that 'the money goes to US citizens working for them' is incredibly naive. The vast majority of defense contractor revenue doesn't go to factory workers; it goes directly to executives and Wall Street shareholders via stock buybacks and dividends. You are cheering for trickle-down corporate welfare funded by the working class.ĀSecond, a partnership implies mutual benefit. As the other commenter just pointed out, the US is draining its own critical Patriot and THAAD interceptor stockpiles and having its own bases obliterated to fight Israel's wars. The US pays the bill and takes the military blowback, while Israel gets free weapons, beta-tests them on civilians, and actively conserves its own stockpiles.Ā
That isn't a partnership. That is a client state wagging the dog→ More replies (1)1
u/Foukes-Ahsun 1d ago
Makes sense, but doesnāt that just shift the spotlight instead of changing the story?
14
u/BlackjackENA 1d ago
One reason: The amount of U.S. aid to Israel dwarfs aid to Saudi Arabia. The U.S. contributions to Israel include direct military aid ($3.8 billion per year), supplemental aid ($175 billion since 1946), qualitative military edge access to technology, and about $6.5 billion in arms sales (current 2026). U.S. contributions to Saudi Arabia include $9 billion in arms sales.
Another reason: news organizations have largely suppressed famine and humanitarian crises coverage, whether Gaza or Yemen.
I have seen coverage of Saudi influence, and Israeli influence, but certainly Israel has dominated that coverage.
6
u/hereawhile 1d ago
The US arguably provides more aid indirectly to Saudi Arabia in the form of protection and support. Saudi Arabia likely couldn't survive as a country without US support
2
u/Solid_Bobcat2267 1d ago
Claiming one of the richest petrostates on earth 'couldn't survive' without US support is absolute delusion.Ā
Saudi Arabia actually pays for its American weapons using its own massive sovereign wealth - as the previous commenter pointed out, the US does $9 billion in actual sales with them. In contrast, Israel receives direct, non-repayable billions stripped right out of American taxpayers' pockets. There is a massive difference between being a transactional arms customer and being a welfare dependent.Ā
On top of that, Saudi Arabia has one of the most well-funded militaries in the world. Before Israel and the US dragged the region into a massive escalating war with Iran, Saudi Arabia was perfectly capable of managing its own regional security, including the Houthis.
The only country in the Middle East that is currently proving it cannot survive without the US military intercepting its incoming missiles, physically manning its defense bases, and funding its domestic budget is Israel. Projecting that extreme, parasitic dependency onto Saudi Arabia is just desperate deflection
5
u/hereawhile 1d ago
This isn't a hypothetical, it's quite literally already happened. In 1990 when Saddam took Kuwait, Saudi Arabia would have been the next target had the US not intervened. Iraqi troops were massed at the Saudi border with its oil fields within reach.
2
u/Solid_Bobcat2267 1d ago
Reaching back 36 years to the 1990 Gulf War as your sole example completely proves my point.Ā
First. The US intervention in the Gulf War wasn't some selfless act of foreign charity - it was pure strategic self-interest to protect global oil markets and prevent a massive global energy crisis. If Saddam had taken the Saudi oil fields, a hostile dictator would have held a stranglehold over the entire global economy.
Further, Saudi Arabia literally paid tens of billions of dollars out of pocket to cover the costs of that US military deployment. They were a paying customer financing a mutual-interest coalition, not a welfare dependent.Second, in the nearly four decades since 1990, Saudi Arabia used its own massive sovereign wealth to build one of the most heavily funded militaries in the world.
Meanwhile, Israel receives an automatic, non-repayable multi-billion-dollar allowance directly out of American taxpayers pockets every single year - regardless of whether there is an active crisis. In an active crisis they receive even more. There is a massive difference between a wealthy petrostate paying the US to protect shared global oil supplies 36 years ago, and Israel extracting permanent, unconditional, non-repayable taxpayer welfare every single year while actively dragging the US into endless regional wars.
1
u/hereawhile 1d ago
It proves your point that Saudi Arabia isn't vulnerable without US support because it was 36 years ago when Iraq would have conquered Saudi Arabia without US intervention, not more recently?
I'm not arguing that the US does any of this out of charity, or even that we shouldn't be doing it. It was probably smart not to let Saudi Arabia fall to Saddam.
It's just pretty common knowledge that Saudi Arabia's military has a bunch of fancy weapons money can buy and tons of logistical and intelligence support, but weak domestic capabilities. It's not quite a paper tiger but it hasn't really fought a real war in its history aside from Yemen where it mainly used foreign militias on the ground alongside its air force with intelligence and targeting from the US and UK. It isn't a coincidence that the crown prince just asked Trump to intervene with the Houthis.
2
u/Solid_Bobcat2267 1d ago
Notice how fast the goalposts shifted? You went from claiming Saudi Arabia 'couldn't survive as a country' to pointing out they asked Trump for help with the Houthis.Ā
And what happened? Trump turned them down, didn't intervene, and Saudi Arabia is handling its security itself.
Dealing with asymmetric border skirmishes against non-state actors in Yemen - their only military engagement since 1990 - is not an existential threat.Crucially, Saudi Arabia is a sovereign, transactional buyer on the open global market. They buy billions in hardware with cold hard cash not just from the US, but from the UK, France, and the EU. Historically, they are the UK's largest defense customer. If the US stops selling to them, Saudi Arabia simply takes its sovereign wealth to Europe, China, or Russia.Ā
In contrast, the US gives Israel direct, non-repayable billions stripped from American taxpayers. If the US cuts Israel off, Israel can't just 'pivot and buy' on the open market, because they depend on American taxpayers to foot the bill in the first place.Ā
If relying on foreign hardware or asking for regional leverage makes a military a 'paper tiger', what do you call Israel? Israel is the country currently requiring billions in US aid, American carrier strike groups, US troops physically manning THAAD batteries on their soil, political cover, UN vetoes and endless free taxpayer-funded ammunition just to keep its airspace intact. Confusing an independent commercial customer with an actual welfare dependent is completely nonsensical.
1
u/hereawhile 1d ago
The Houthis aren't an existential threat to Saudi Arabia, at least not yet.
My point is that buying weapons alone is not enough. Military equipment is great but it also takes domestic resolve and warfighting capabilities, Saudi Arabia is extremely soft in that respect. Saddam's invasion was just the clearest example of that. Very few countries in the region outside of Turkey, Israel and Pakistan have real armies that can fight wars.
3
u/Solid_Bobcat2267 1d ago
It is hilarious that you specifically named Turkey, Pakistan, and Egypt as the only 'real armies' in the region. You clearly missed the recent news then? in August, Saudi Arabia signed the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement - a NATO-style mutual defense pact - with Turkey and Pakistan. Further, Egypt is currently mobilizing to support it.Ā
By your own admission, Saudi Arabia just secured a defensive alliance with the strongest militaries in the region - and they did it entirely independent of the United States.Ā
That is exactly what a sovereign, wealthy power does. They use their geopolitical leverage and financial capital to build regional security architectures on their own terms. They don't need to beg the US to fight their battles because they have the diplomatic power to align with regional heavyweights.Compare that to Israel. Israel requires the United States to physically park carrier strike groups off its coast, send endless free ammunition, and deploy American troops onto Israeli soil to man their THAAD batteries just to keep its airspace from collapsing.
One country uses its wealth to build independent, sovereign defense pacts. The other is entirely dependent on American taxpayers and US troops for its baseline survival. The difference is night and day.
I think that settles it right. Saudi is obviously surviving without US support.
1
u/hereawhile 1d ago
Everyone understands this is a symbolic alliance and means almost nothing. Saudi Arabia is being attacked right now and neither is going to go to war for it. All of this is also in context of Saudi's current position including its US support.
If you actually want to understand why gulf countries are so militarily and societally weak, this is a good book on it. Countries like Saudi are organized along tribal lines, the insane amount of resource wealth makes them rich but very inefficient and lazy, and militaries are organized more around loyalty, preserving the ruling family, rooting out political opposition and domestic stability than fighting actual wars.

Getting hit by sporadic drone and missile strikes on oil depots or airports doesn't mean a country is 'losing'. There is no Houthi ground invasion of Saudi Arabia. There is no mass destruction of Saudi cities, no mass casualties, and zero existential threat to the Saudi state.Ā
It is asymmetric border harassment, not a military defeat. The fact remains: Saudi Arabia is an independent economic powerhouse absorbing regional friction on its own terms. Meanwhile, Israel is entirely dependent on the US to physically man its missile defense systems, park warships off its coast, and inject tens of billions into its war economy just to keep it functioning. Confusing a drone strike on an Aramco facility with state collapse is just desperateš¤·

Look at before and after images of Mariupol in Ukraine. For reference: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/apr/28/mariupol-before-and-after-updated-google-maps-reveal-destruction-in-ukraine-city

Israel and Saudi's intelligence have worked together since the 80's. See Iran Contra, and also the lesser known in USA, Al-Yamamah arms deal scandal in UK.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Yamamah_arms_deal
Saudi's royalty can't give the impression they are in cahoots with with the Israeli defense apparatus and Intelligence because Saudi's general population has low opinion of Israel. Same reason why Saudi royalty gives the false impression they are devout Muslims when they are anything but.
Reality is bought and sold believe it or not. Why you won't see that. Same reason why you never hear MSM reporting political stories and scandals coming out of Israel.
Unfortunately, inertia is too strong for anything to change. People incapable looking a week (and MSM), so don't expect ties going back for 40 years to get coverage.

Is Isreal in the US? Because no one here was talking about NYC. You may as well say no one is racist against black people because they are treated well in some towns.
How many jews live in the middle east outside of isreal?
Why is that?
The answer is lots of people are racist against jews.

u/MosesDoughty 1d ago
People get real quiet whenever they get asked why so few Jews live outside of Israel and the United States

It's not just NYC, it's coast to coast. I've met a lot more people who were bigoted towards middle eastern people than Jewish people.

u/Anacondoyng 13h ago
Well in some cases Israel carried out false flag attacks in Arab countries to scare Jews to move to Israel. I'm not saying that in no case were Jews forced to emigrate by Muslims (after Jews forced a large number of Muslims and Christians from their homes in Palestine), and that was wrong, but the claim that Jewish emigration to Israel from Muslim territories was simply the product of antisemitism is not true. Read Avi Shleim.

u/NugKnights 9h ago
Cool story.
In way way way more cases the jews were killed on purpose by people who say they want to kill jews.
Like the Houthies who's real flag reads "Death to Isreal, Death to America, and a curse upon the jews.
Read any history book.

You have to be truly insane to actually believe western countries are more bigoted toward Jewish people than they are toward Arabs or Muslims in general. Every single piece of entertainment media made in the last thirty years features a villain who wears a turban and screams Allahu ackbar before the heroic seal team kills him. Post 9/11 there were lynch mobs going around every major us city looking for anyone vaguely middle eastern looking, or even just brown really, to take their anger out on, and fear of Muslim terrorism literally created the modern day surveillance state in the west. And of course in Europe Islamophobia is legitimately the guiding animus of the entire right wing political project right now. Meanwhile israel snipes its 60,000th Palestinian child in the head and without exception, every single western media sourceās headline on the event (if it gets enough traction that they feel forced into covering it at all) is like ārelative to the spinning of the earth, the childās path moved her head directly through the unmoving bullet (which may or may not have been shot out of a gun, dont ask us who was holding the gun though)ā. Israel murders children by the bus load and western journalists and politicians see the only problem with this as (and Iām quoting directly here) āwhen we are trying to present israel positively we have to talk to the youth through a wall of dead babiesā

Hey guess what? Same thing happened to the bulk of Israelis (Mizrahim, Sephardim, and other non-Ashkenazim). Constant "random" searches at US airports.
If I wasn't 100% clean shaven, I was guaranteed to get flagged. Flying while looking Middle Eastern.
But that's nothing compared to the antisemitism I've seen in my life. My synagogue in Portugal was pillaged one night. My synagogue in upstate NY was firebombed. A few decades later at that same synagogue a shooter attacked the preschool. Being a Jew in the world.

u/OldTwo6751 16h ago
French Jew here people donāt understand that persecution can come in many forms but fearing for your life is by far the worst one. Most French Muslims fear racism and discrimination that they clearly face daily but I rarely meet one that fears targeted death for being Muslim. Thatās not case for most jews , I know going to my synagogue comes with unforeseen dangers sometimes the army is posted at the front door.

Part of it might be that Israel constantly plays the victim while practicing ethnic cleansing and has a huge number of American politicians openly placing it's interests above those of the US.
2
u/hereawhile 1d ago
Which US politicians place its interests above those of the US? This seems like a red herring. You're basically just defining anyone who thinks a supportive policy of Israel is good for the US as being in favor of Israel's interests above the US, which is just assuming your own conclusion

u/Stoked_Otter 1d ago
Because only one of the two nations hangs it's flag outside the doors of dozens of congressional offices. Only one of the two nations has had multiple US congresspeople openly and publicly swear allegiance to it. Only one of the two nations cannot be legally boycotted in several US states.
There's a representative in the House that regularly wears an IDF uniform on the floor of the United States Congress. It's very clear which of the two nations has control of our government.
6
u/barryhuffman 1d ago
Who is the rep who regularly wears an IDF uniform?
3
u/Biggle_fuzz 1d ago
Brian Mast. I don't know if he does it regularly, but he definitely has done it.

u/barryhuffman 1d ago
If you don't know then why would you say it? Just looked it up and he did it once 6 days after Oct 7. The dude is a bronze star purple heart winner disabled in the line of duty and wore a uniform once to show support for massacred civilians immediately after the event. Prob should spend 10 seconds checking the validity of what you say if you actually care about any of this and aren't here for the reddit karma
3
u/Stoked_Otter 1d ago
So what you are saying is that yes Brian Mast wears an IDF unform on the floor of the United States Congress.

u/Biggle_fuzz 1d ago
Ok, so the question you asked I answered. You then looked it up, and he did in fact do the thing, and your mad at me for answering your question.
The fact he wore it at all should have immediately resulted in his removal from office.

China is also supporting Russia. They provide them with all the tech they need since the rest of the world cut ties. They also buy cheap oil from Russia and in return China sells items to the US at extremely competitive prices.

Because Yemen has a formidable fighting force and it's shameful that sandal wearing Arab mountain rednecks are wiping their ass with a force armed and trained by the greatest military on earth.
But you're right, the "news" should cover it more closely. It's not hard too find information on it if you dig a bit deeper tho.

I'm Yemeni, the ongoing war is essentially between the legitimate Yemeni government, and the Houthis rebels. Saudi Arabia obtained formal consent to support the legitimate government , and Saudi Arabia has no influence over the White House, It's just Trump who made it seem to be 'Influence', and he seems to leave the GCC countries for vulnerable after the latest news. They have fewer interceptors, and it's going to be for Israel.

u/disparateassociation 3h ago
Americans already dislike Saudi Arabia on the whole and Trump has already been criticized for his closeness with them numerous times. There also isn't a large movement online trying to defend their actions so there's not much to debate. Saudi government sucks next topic.

Zionists use whataboutism to deflect from what they are doing, and use Ukraine or Saudi Arabia or Iran or whatever. If you have to compare your country to Russia or Saudi Arabia or Iran to make your country look better that is just pathetic.
It would be like if Chris Christie said, well there are people who are over 600 pounds why are people criticizing me for my weight problem.

The conflict in Yemen is seen by the world as a Muslim conflict between the Sunnis in Saudi Arabia, and the Shia in Iran, with the Yemenis stuck in the middle. Few people in the world understand the region, so the deaths come across as abstract, and too distant to be understood. The UN has faced this problem of "invisible conflicts" in Myanmar and Congo among other places.
Why so little empathy? There are human limits.
The insularity of Middle Eastern cultures works against peace not only by creating an "us" and a "them" between regional sects, but also by distancing the region from the world. Once alienated at a distance, Yemenis are in danger of being forgot.

1
u/Secret-Look-88 14h ago
Israel mistreatment of Palestinian people has been going on for decades it always takes time and something that attracts attention for people to pay attention.
Look at South Africa were even the victims have said that Palestinians are treated worse than they were, how come South Africa got the attention first?
And South Africa was far from the worst place to live as a black person.Ā
Must have been racism against the white South Africans by opponents of apartheid.
Israel pays our politicians to talk about them positively and call people who criticise them anti Semitic. This generates people to pay more attention.
This tactic worked quite well for decades keeping people quiet but has after all this time just made the thing bigger news. The counter narrative here though is if they hadn't done it the West would have stopped supporting Israel sooner so maybe it was a positive for Israel overall but now it is time to pay the bill.
As for Saudi influence it isn't anywhere near Israeli influence on American politics.

1
u/Rude-Eagle171 11h ago
Well I start with this because I see all these comments. Just because Saudi doesnāt get the same amount of scrutiny, that doesnāt mean Israel is wrong to get the amount it has. Saudi deserves more, not isreal less.
Second, Isreal is being given tax payer money, Saudiās are purchasing weapons. So thatās two completely different things.
Third, Charlie Kirk tried to use this talking point. It was easily debunked.

It's always amazing to me that most Americans consider Saudi Arabia to be "the bad guys" to some degree, yet they don't seem to get that the Saudis, using American weapons, are at war with the Houthi. Now what's that we often say about the enemies of our enemies....?
Update -- This seems to be getting misinterpreted.
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend" is the phrase. The Houthi are the enemy of the Saudis, who use American weapons to slaughter them. I'm surprised more Americans don't think about this at all, considering negative sentiments towards the Saudi kingdom.
8
u/tritiatedpear 1d ago
The saudis paid for 911 and funded Al queda, and chopped up an American journalist into tiny pieces. How that regime still exists other than America being morally bankrupt is a mystery. But the good guys they are not.

Stop lying, the official government of Yemen issues many statements about their attack; they asked saudi for help.
1

Neither mine (though I certainly don't know every single fact on the ground on Yemen, and I know human nature tends to lean toward power + corruption + abuse). That said, if I were American, I'd be a lot more curious about why the Saudis hate the Houthi so much, and why U.S. weapons are used to slaughter them. You'd think they'd see the Houhti in a different light, or at least have a question or two.

The houthis are closely allied/linked to the Iranian government, and often act in their interest, but they arenāt an extension of the Iranian state/nonstate apparatus.

hey are essentially the government of Yemen
The only UN member state that recognizes the Houthis as the Government of Yemen is Iran. And a lot classify them outright as a terrorist organization.

That is effectively meaningless. The Houthiās have governed the majority of citizens in Yemen for like a decade. The ārecognised governmentā are Saudi puppets that sold out their own people.

Is there a Saudi lobby that is putting money into bank accounts of 95% of Congress? Or are Saudi interests represented disproportionately in American media? Can you lose work or lose your job if you are seen to be overtly criticizing Saudi Arabia? Are American companies banned from working with US State governments unless they pledge an allegiance to Saudi Arabia? Does the US Govt give Saudi Arabia billions in aid every year, with no strings attached? Do hundreds of American politicians go on trips every year to Saudi Arabia? Are American police forces being trained by the Saudi military? Does the US Govt always vote defend Saudi interests at the UN and vero any and all attempts to keep Saudi Arabia accountable? Do American political leaders literally say they were elected to Congress to defend Saudi interests?
So there is no comparison between the influence that Israel has on the US and the role that Saudi Arabia plays. That's not to say we shouldn't also be questioning the Saudi relationship to America. Of course the Saudi's spend a lot buying influence and there are also many highly questionable things about the US Govt being in bed with Saudi interests -and yes their role in the disastrous Yemen civil war. But to suggest that somehow Israeli and Saudi Arabian interests inside the US are comparable in terms of their influence is just nonsensical. It's not even closely comparable.

Bruh, when weāre talking about nation state lobbying spend, Saudi Arabia is #4 and Israel is #10.
When you include shadow money from lobby groups on their behalf, including aipac the additional funding is as follows:
Israel: $214.6 million from the nation state + $97 million from lobby groups = $311.6 million
Saudi Arabia: $421.9 million from the nation state + $167 million from lobby groups = $588.9 million

u/gnome-civilian 23h ago
Saudi Arabia gave $2 Billion to Jared Kushner for his investment firm. Saudi Arabia spends a lot on lobbying/influence and huge amount in investment funds and business groups.
Don't forget Saudi Arabia is an actual islamist absolute monarchy. Most Americans really aren't into that so politicians are not going to tout their connections or support for them.
They also assassinated Jamal Khashoggi, a US resident, by luring him into a consulate, drugging and killing him then cutup his body to dispose of and I don't think they got hardly any pushback for it.
Are American police forces being trained by the Saudi military?
The Saudi military is shit.
1
u/magicsonar 20h ago
Saudi Arabia gave Kushner $2 billion to try and buy influence within the White House. Israel has no need to pay Kushner that kind of money - they know he's already in their pocket. That's the difference. The Prime Minister of Israel literally stayed at the home of the Kushner's - they are old and close friends!

The famine in yemen did make the news, a law was passed to block arms sales that Trump blocked. But should more attention be given to it? Sure. Saudi Arabia is a ghastly country. If it didn't have oil it wouldn't even be a country, a ton of those GCC states are minority citizens. Shit holes
