This is my first semester in clinicals and I'm looking for advice on navigating the differing preceptor preferences. I try to ask if they have a preference up front with how the tube is taped or emergence tasks etc... They usually say they don't have one but after I've completed the tasks I find out they do have a preference. Who taught you to tape that way or why the opa I only use soft bite blocks. I take notes on their preferences for future shifts but wanted to know if there's a better way to go about this. Thank you!

I'm asking generally how people manage to go for months, and I'm stressed out fearing my doctor won't give me sick note. I need a month of due to mental health reason because of a significant loss that took place. Mind you, I don't even need money from my employer. It's not about money. I genuinely need 1 month of to take care of myself mentally. Doctors won't write me 1 month off.

Suggestion? How do others do it? If you know of a doctor who can write for 1 month, please tell me.

At one point in my 20s I pretended to be a 15 year old girl online to see how many pervy men would reach out to me. I ended up emailing back and forth with a guy who was a college senior. I sent him a couple photos of a friend who was 18 at the time they were taken, but could have passed for younger. she was in lingerie or a bathing suit in a couple of them. Dude sent me back a photo of the mess he made for me when looking at the photos.

I ended up finding the guy on Facebook and identified his girlfriend. I emailed her pretending to be the 15 year old girl and told her what was going on in the guise of feeling guilty I didn’t know he was in a relationship. I told her I didn’t want him to get in trouble. the last I heard from her she said she would deal with it, whatever that meant.

I occasionally remember this and feel guilty for likely ending a guy’s relationship.

If I did, I would be getting in some other person's way. Today some man had the audacity to say "excuse me" and pretend he was remorseful for walking into me when I didn't move for him. You don't get to invade my space just because you're a man who's taller than me. Now you have the nerve to act all polite? FUCK YOU. You saw me coming. You know you're supposed to walk on the right side.

Grocery shopping is something I can barely do anymore as-is. I should be able to walk in a straight line from one end of the aisle to the other end of the aisle without anyone ramming into me. Each time I go outside, I meet dipshits who have other plans. I have to plan to be in bed for the rest of the day if I want to go grocery shopping.
