To be fair, for a single rental property, a 4-digit vs 6-digit code is not any more secure. It may be more digits and increase the permutations from 10000 to 1000000, but the reality does not match what would cause it to be any more or less secure. A typical bad actor is not going to spend an exorbitant amount of time trying 10000 possible combinations. Your door lock likely has an auto-back off feature, so it would add time after so many bad tries. This is not the reason nor hill to die on. Set this back to 4 digits, and you and your guests win. As a guest, I always hate going to places that requires a code that is longer than 4 digits.

The other rule changes are bigger issues.
