They're numbered 1-6, but with a 7 instead of a 4, because Mista is really superstitious about the number 4

I know that the Chinese glyphs for 4 and death are either the same or very similar, I wonder if it's something similar (or a direct borrowing)

The word for 4 in Japanese is “shi”, and the Kanji for death (死) is also “shi”.

In Japan, they sometimes skip the 4th floor of hospitals and hotels out of superstition.

Nope. One of his childhood neighbours got their eye clawed out by a kitten adopted from a litter of four, leaving the neighbour with a four-claw scar in place of where the eye was

yeah it’s the pronunciation, but not the glyphs. I’ll even throw in that my mom said that in Tagalog, one of them is “apat” and the other is “patay”, which isn’t quite the same but still an interestingly close comparison

In all fairness to him the number 4 does play a big part in his backstory. During the shootout that got him thrown in prison, he was attacked by 4 assailants. They opened fire on him and none of them were able hit them as he proceeded to gun them down.

Abbachio ate the 4th slice of cake that Mista was freaking out over in his introduction, and well…
