Groups Incomplete numbered groups.
1. The Self Referential Six (Rick and Morty): excluding and Imprisoning Rhett from the group for supposedly being very dangerous.
2. Uno, Dos and Cuatro (Ferdinand): they don't want to talk about Tres.

The Seven in The Boys go a really long time without having 7 members

Homelander even uses it as reasoning for why he's disbanding the Seven as a whole.

Isn't it only the first episode that The Seven truly has that many members? And then from there anytime they get back to Seven, something happens to bring the number back down within the same episode?

Isn't there some mermaids in one piece that are named like "One" Two" "Three" "Four" and "Four Two"
Or am I thinking of something else

How was Yonka 2 rendered in Japanese? It’d be really funny if she introduced herself as Go-yonka

The Vinsmoke family is literally named Ijji, Niji Sanji and Yonji Oda really likes that naming gag

Don't forget the daughter who was born before all 4 sons, Reiju (0ju)
also not sure how much good spoilering Sanji is when it's the third name and people with basic japanese knowledge and/or pattern recognition skills could figure it out
edit: oh you misspelled Ichiji BTW

Hate how we still haven't got Venom yet and as much as i loved Brand New Day, they easily could've had the symbiote suit arc for it but ig they're saving it for Secret Wars

u/icaromb25 1h ago
Yep, we really need a Spiderman with Black Cat and Venom, actually, take Liz from Homecoming and make her Black Cat in the MCU. Peter remembers her, she doesn't remember Peter, but she ended up as a thief after Spiderman arrested her father.

Why? Did Seven eat Nine?

u/Theorist129 6m ago
And here I thought it was Seven Of Nine. This is from the series with the big spaceship alone in deep space on a desperate course for Earth? The one with the cybernetic enemies who also sometimes look like humans? The series whose title is the name of the spaceship?

The Psychic Six - Psychonauts
There were originally The Psychic Seven until Lucrecia had to come back to her own country to save her sister from the war which she success and becomes minister of war until the Grulovian Flood happened and turned into Maligula. She had to be erased from any records with her team and her part of the mural was hidden behind a curtain just like you see on the image.

> had to be erased from the records
that bit reminds me of the lost Primarchs from Warhammer 40k

The Six(Generator Rex): A group of the Six deadliest assassins/fighters in the world. Originally consisted of the deadliest man in the world named One and the 5 he trained. However even after One died and Six left the group, they still go by The Six. Partially because none of the four is willing to dishonor One's memory by taking his place.

u/Dragonfang65 2h ago
And even then. It is ranked by “Deadliest” in how willing they are to kill. And Six proves he is definitely not the weakest.

Mammoth: Look we made the name before we got six members. And it is too much effort to rename everything. Also it rhymes.

The Crazy Eighty-Eights in Kill Bill.
When talking about O-Ren's death and the killing and maiming of her guards, Bud is incredulous that the Bride killed eighty-eight people besides her target. Bill then states that no, it wasn't close to that amount but "the name sounded cool".

It's the kind of name that someone who fucks with Yakuza would come up with. They should go home to their mother.

The Cylons in the Battlestar Galatica revival: Over the course of the series, we meet 7 model numbers (Number 1-6, 8) and five additional Cylons who were hidden within the population (The Final Five). We never see a Number Seven, with it eventually being explained that their entire line was wiped out in a jealous rage by specific Number One model, Cavil.

So, I actually got to look this up for this post and I'm happy I did.
The hip-hop collective D12 is short for the Dirty Dozen (sometimes erroneously called the Detroit 12). Now no matter what the D12 is short for, it doesn't change the fact that there's only 6 fucking guys in the group.
Now I was curious why a group of 6 would call themselves 12. It turns out when they formed the group, each member gave themselves an alter ego who they could tap into when they needed to change their flow or act out of character.
And thus, 6 members is now 12 personas in the group.
Eminem can turn into Slim Shady. Proof can turn into Dirty Harry. Bizarre into Peter S. Bizarre. Kon Artis into Mr. Porter. Kunniva into Rondell Bean. Swifty McVay into Swift.
I just thought this was so interesting. Thanks, OP. Lol.

I never liked Connie TinuityError because her name is so awkward. It could'vejust been Connie Tinuity and that would've been way better.

IRL, the fleet of the Snowdon Mountain Railway in North Wales; while the locomotive numbers go up to 12, numbers 1, 7 and 8 are absent from the roster.

No. 1, LADAS, was destroyed in an accident on the railway's opening day (derailed and fell down the mountain, the results as shown above), and No. 7 Ralph and No. 8 Eryri have been withdrawn, dismantled and stored offsite with no current plans to rebuild them.

The Fearsome Four/Five (The Stickworld)
The Fearsome Four are a group of five magicians of varying power, individually named "Number #" in accordance to their rank of power within the group. Questioning why they're the Fearsome Four despite having five members leads to them attacking. After the group was literally kicked by the Great Size-Changer, they changed the name of the group to the Fearsome Five. The kick had severely weakened the strongest two, knocked two of them unconscious, and killed the weakest, meaning they were down to four members, and the change of the group name was to honour the dead Number 5.

In Minions: Rise of Gru, the main antagonists are a group of villains called Vicious Six, with Wild Knuckles was the leader. Until they decide to betray him, taking away the Zodiac Stone he stole and leaving him to die. Belle Bottom take his place as the leader. At one point, they wanted to recruit a new member to the team, but didn't happened in the end.

not exactly the same, but in Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency there's a group called The Rowdy 3 and there's 4 of them

In Psychonauts 2, the founding members of the titular organization are known as the Psychic Six. Midway through the game, it is revealed there was a seventh founding member who went rogue. In the postgame, after everything has been resolved, the group is called the Psychic Seven.

The english art group Throbbing Gristle released their first album in 1977, called "The Second Annual Report". The next year they published their second album "D. o. A: the Third and Final Report of Throbbing Gristle". Nine years later, a bootleg of 1976's discarded recordings would appear under the name of "The First Annual Report", but never as an official release.

The Chanels (Scream Queens)
A clique of sorority girls, who all take on the name of their ring leader Chanel Oberlin
At the start of the series it’s Chanel, Chanel No.2, Chanel No.3, and Chanel no.5, it’s mentioned that prior to the series Chanel no.4 got meningitis and died, and for the deaths by serial killers, Chanel no.2 is the first to be killed
Thus we mainly follow Chanel 1, 3, and 5

Been a very long time since I read time but IIRC in A Series of Unfortunate Events , there were triplets where one of them was like dead or missing and presumed dead and the two remaining got annoyed when people assumed they were twins.

Sex Pistols - JoJo's Bizzare Advenure
They're numbered 1-6, but with a 7 instead of a 4, because Mista is really superstitious about the number 4
