A shot is set up in such a way where it looks fine from one angle, then they reveal another that makes it look way worse

Infinity War - Thanos reveals Nebula hanging up imprisoned, then when the camera follows Gamora going to her we see that mechanical components are stretched out and her head and body are in pieces.

Breaking Bad - Hector sets off a bomb in a murder suicide against Gus but he seems to walk out fine impossibly, then the camera moves to in front of him and you see half of his face is just not there anymore.

They had an episode with a dead, naked and flayed couple. The network objected because you could see their buttcracks. The director offered to fill their buttcracks with more blood. That was acceptable.

Hannibal has this upper body nudity but no nipple rule it is really strange considering the amount of violence the show has

Thats not a show requirement, thats a function of standards and practices. Thats the weird shit I'm talking about. mutilation is fine, but nipples are not.

"So instead of showing a nipple on television, we can replace it with her skin flayed off and thats cool"

It was kind of hilarious that in the final season, when a retired Italian police officer is being interviewed about Hannibal being questioned as a suspect years ago, they show a painting (a Botticelli i think they said?) and were to the nipples couldnt be shown, so they went with a fairly obvious and heavy pixelating, I assume as some protest.

There was also the first season with the Angel Killer, where the network said they couldn't show two victims... because their butt cracks were visible. So they filled the prop corpses butt cracks in... with blood.

It's funny how even in "boundary pushing" shows like Euphoria, dicks are totally fine but you never see a single on screen vagina.

Like the fairer sex just cannot have their genitals depicted, ohhh but shlong funny show it on camera uncensored.

Art depicting orgies, rape, and nudity is all over museums. As is art that’s extremely violent and graphic.

A tit iss a body part of an actual human. The "gore" and "violence" in the show is just a guy pretending to be hit while a loud banging sound plays, and a bunch of artists making stuff that looks somewhat like the things depicted. Like, the reason why characters can pretend to have sex in certain shows that arent 18 plus is because they arent really having sex, they are pretending and we understand the difference. Even kids understand what a play is, they understand that if they pretend to be a robot they dont turn into one magically, and considering how much they do plays that have an acting element they can feel the difference.
