Luz’s family is Latino and Latino people can have straight hair. Actually, is very common. Our ancestors had heavy straight hair. It was the Spaniards who brought the waves with them.

She has a latino last name and her mom is latina. So I think she’s 100% latina

She's lighter skinned than her mom. No way her dad was darker than her mom.

Yeah but it seems like they have naturally curly hair, since, when we start to see them with curly hair, we can also see a hair straightener in the trash in Camila's room.

Ah yeah, I mean, narratively is works. She has curly hair, but not because POC having curly hair by default like the post implies
