Unfortunately for him, she's also signed a bunch of the paperwork for his various businesses. He stands to lose much more than just his reputation.

And yet. He defends her when Chris Rock makes a joke about sleeping with her and he gets in trouble.

Honestly. I still like him. I don’t care what anyone says.

The threat of taking at least half their fortune will make people act rather illogically. We don't know how much his personal fiances are tied up with the production company, what the contracts look like, etc. The royalties may be going to the company, which in turn pays him. She's part owner, last I looked.
