Humanity does something cool: 🤯🤩

Humanity does something cool, but its elon musks company: 🤬😒

seriously, can people not just appreciate the engineering that went into this for a second without defaulting to "elons company did it so it must be bad/worthless?"

What's cool about it exactly?

0

u/HelloYesThisIsFemale 4d ago

A flying car bro

0

u/TonyGalvaneer1976 4d ago

It's not even a flying car XD

It can't fly, and it's got nobody in it.

So what you're saying is "this fucking sucks actually". Interesting ng

I asked you what was cool about it, and your answer was wrong.

I mean it literally is a car and it literally is flying idk what more you want.

Ok? How is that relevant? I also can't put on a costume and dance at a Tesla event. Does that make this a technological marvel?

this kind of "make a car hop" shit isn't new. Hollywood stunts use it all the time.

I'm just glad AI is getting rid of Hollywood. Okay if you don't like the car hop then whatever, but thank GOD AI is replacing Hollywood. That makes me super happy <3

Oh boy, are you excited about the culture war? good job!

1

u/Keltharious 2d ago

Yeah dude we need something to talk about. If there were no issues we'd be bored!

This was a basically hollow frame with thrusters attached, nothing about this stunt was anything more than Hollywood magic and idiots across the board are eating it up like it's some marvel of technology.

2

u/Either-Dependent-629 4d ago

Saying it’s a hollow frame with thrusters is like saying a helicopter is a hollow frame with a ceiling fan on it.

1

u/Consistent-Whole1662 4d ago

No it isn't, at best this is a car-shaped drone, it will literally never see the road and they are taking people's money with no promise of it ever being delivered. It's smoke and mirrors to trick idiots and idiot investors.

1

u/Either-Dependent-629 4d ago

Dude he said it’s not designed to be street legal.

1

u/Keltharious 3d ago

Oh okay so it doesn't exist. Anyway, since it's just a random car flying through the air let's discuss something that IS cool and happening today. Or is everyone on this site just angry and hateful 100% of the time?

Next you'll tell me you don't trust the science?

Tesla is a car company, not "the science", lol

You do realize just because Tesla is owned by Elon that it can still be employed with leftists that you'd associate with on the daily, right?

How is that relevant?

0

u/Keltharious 3d ago

Who cares it's a car why are you replying? Everyone is crying about a Tesla ad and it doesn't matter. I thought it was cool. If you don't think so cry about it. Otherwise.... DEAL WITH IT!!!

1

u/TonyGalvaneer1976 3d ago

It's not EVEN a car, it's an unmanned prop.

1

u/Keltharious 3d ago

Throw it in the trash then, idgaf.

u/Volo_Cat 4d ago

Don't confuse science and engineering. Jet thrust was discovered in the times of Ancient Greeks and perfectly understood by early 20th century.

1

u/Keltharious 3d ago

Oh okay well it doesn't matter anyway. Who cares. Everyone just wants to cry about billionaires all day instead of do anything. Who cares.

All you Musk knights always fall back to this lol. Would the day you realize this 'I'd like to see you try' stuff is an argumentative fallacy even come? Facts are facts, no matter who says them.

Attitude control using thrusters is oooooold tech. Literally the first ever spaceship that made it to space, Vostok 1, had them. Musk was just crazy enough to commission his engineers to put that on a car, all for a few seconds of stunts. So don't give me none of that 'innovation' bs.

Anyway I'm just glad AI is taking jobs away from people in Hollywood <3
