Discussion Minecraft is a sandbox game....

I'm sure this has been posted a lot but honestly most complaints about Minecraft has no real Base to it. Me and my friend had a whole hour discussion/ argument because he hates how villagers make the game easy. Do they YES no one is denying that do you nee then/forced to use them NO, same when people say there's nothing to do after killing the dragon. There is but people either don't have imagination+,(dam near a staple of Minecraft is imagination) or don't want to put time into doing anything afterwards. I do want to ask a question though, seeing how Minecraft mods have came so far and do genuinely make the game better do you think a game is bad if it needs mods to be good?

The shadow texture looks nice, but it's more akin to blue ice in texture.

Discussion i wonder if theyll ever do anything with cave spiders

i like cave spiders. they're more charming than normal spiders and also completely pointless, a random mechanic with very little impact on the game that only shows up rarely
such a fun strange move

Is it just me, or...

Do Packed Ice Bricks look eerily similar to Tuff Bricks?

Don't get me wrong, Tuff Bricks have the best brick design by far, but quite surprising that they were used for the new Packed Ice.

Discussion Skeletons in java and bedrock

Guys i know that everyone is saying that bedrock skeleton is stronger then java one but its not in minecraft java players are 21% of Minecraft players and rest 79% are bedrock players. Out of all bedrock players 90% are mobile and console players i have played all mobile console pc and i can say that console and phone is way harder they just cant dodge skeleton attacks most of the time (i know that some phone players are insane good but that realy rare) so they are saying that bedrock skeleton is better they just don't understand that they are worse not java skeletons. Plus mojang nerfed bedrock skeletons few months ago.

I know that i can't change anything with this post but what I'm saying is completely true

I hope you guys liked this post

Help Can I make an artificial village with villagers? What rules would I need to follow?

I always see people making grand and detailed village builds with several houses all packed together but they’re always empty. I can’t be the first person to wonder why not populate it with villagers? Is there some reason this would be really hard or not work?

I want to make an artificial village with villagers and golems and everything but I’m wondering what rules I’d need to follow, I know villagers are pesky with what blocks they walk on and how far they go from they’re bed to job block etc.

Any help or wisdom is much appreciated, even a guide or link to another post explaining this if there is one would help, I really want to do this if it’s possible, thank you!!

Suggestion The Bedrock Edition Creative Menu if Mojang Locked In

The current tab setup for the Bedrock Edition creative menu works fine, but I definitely wish things were sorted a little more, and a trash slot would be nice. I mocked up a design of how that could theoretically work. Mojang, please consider this.

Builds & Maps A new mod that completely removes the VanillaBlockGridFeeling from Minecraft.

Hey everyone.

I've spent a long time (over a year) developing a mod that dynamically changes how blocks, and fluids work to completely eliminate/reduce the classic blockgrid feeling of Minecraft:

- With my mod you will now have a slabversion of every natural MaterialVanillaBlock automatically.
- You are able to place VanillaBlocks or -Fluids on this new slabs aswell as different slabs in the same VanillaBlockSpace.
- The worldgen smooth all edges of natural materials on land, caves, under water, even on the ceiling. Plants and fluids adapt on it everywhere.
- You can now run up most of the hills without jumping.
- Especially the fluidmechanics were hard to create in the halfspace, but i made it for you all! <3

The gentler and softer landscape has completely blown me away, and I'm thrilled. Combined with “DistantHorizons,” and other terraforming mods it looks simply incredible. It also opens up new possibilities for creative building in an impressive way. #MakeMinecraftLessBlocky

Here is the link:
https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/slabsupdate

My next step is to check the worldgen in other dimensions, but also to enable the RedstoneMechanics on slabs. In the meantime im looking forward to your comments and evaluations so i can bugfix it <3

If you're just as excited as I am after trying it out, please consider sharing it with your friends or making a short video. That helps me develop new and exciting things for all of us.

In the underwater ambience sounds, you can hear Bass whale 1 and Bass whale 2, which are whales, so yeah, whales are canon. Idk, I think it's cool

Suggestion Crossbows should be able to shoot wither shulls

Post image
4 Upvotes

It would be so awesome :)
Idea: holding a wither skull in your offhand as you load your crossbow charges it up with a wither skull
I feel like this is actually a fire idea because it's expensive but deadly and adds a good use to wither skeletons besides beacons
But then also make it cost a lot of durability or something to even it out

Also, pressing Q with a loaded crossbow should drop the item inside of the crossbow
just another idea so you dont somehow accidentally waste your hard-earned skull

Discussion Is it just me or new world terrain generation sucks?

Recently I wanted to play a bit of minecraft for the first time in a while, I've tried a few hardcore worlds and boy does the terrain generation suck, I've lost my first world trying to search for a damn cow, I traveled for over 4000 blocks (it was all ice biome, desert and savana) and didn't manage to find it, thinking it would have been faster to get back home I traveled through the nether and died (I admit it's skill issue but damn, how is it possible that there's not a single damn cow in over 4000 blocks, btw, didn't even find a decent place to build a house). The other one I lost was because of a cave but how the hell am I supposed to explore one if it's so full of monsters because they're so giant? Btw, villagers are also broken af and I don't think it's nice

Very simple question, do you switch your sprint key to shift or keep it on Lctrl? My friend thinks switching to shift isn’t what most do, but I think it is.

Discussion 2 years on, what do you think of the wolf variant update (1.20.5)?

It was a long awaited update, to be able to have different types of dogs and armour. However, from my own experience it's such a let down, l've never used the dog armour. The only wolf l've come across, that isn't the og wolf, is the woods wolf. I've tried looking for the others, even in creative. (Without spawning them in)

But that's just my opinion, and I wanted to make a YT video on the topic, so I wanted to hear other people's opinions, because I've not heard anyone talk about it, since the update.
