Some days I feel like an unlovable loser who’s going to die alone. I hope I’m wrong, but it’s hard to block out those thoughts.

oh don't worry about that.

The odds are that AI going to kill all of us in a big group within 10 years or so.

Get some hobbies / interests that aren't usually inside and/or male dominated

Probably the best advice… online dating sucks… but learning how to operate a sewing machine to fix and alter clothing or making pottery is more fun than it sounds. Just own it, whatever ‘it’ is!

Or just change jobs every few years and hope you bump into someone you click with.

Ya don’t ever game with your buddies or start a garage band!

Do that! But also branch out to other stuff too, gaming and jamming with friends is still something I really enjoy. But maybe there’s hiking groups or casual 6 v 6 coed soccer leagues or anything else that’s also super fun out there

Easier said than done, you’d be hard-pressed to join yoga, pilates, knitting classes, etc. without getting a lot of side-eye.

The mindset doesn’t help it and makes you unattractive.

Love yourself first and then it’s easier to let someone else in to love you too.

I think of it more as righteously burying a dead-end lineage, for the good of the rest of humanity, through my selfless sacrifice. At least that story feels better to tell myself.

My parents were monstrous, though, so it's easier for me to justify myself ending their foul "legacy" than it is for most people. It's also true that I didn't make it far enough in life fast enough. I couldn't viably have kids AND support said kids at the quality-of-life level I think is appropriate. I couldn't provide them with a stable home to live in with enough space, and also provide them enough food and a decent education.

The world broke all around us, and our parents' generation is partially (...fully?) to blame.

Same

But the financial room and time to do silly shit balancing things out. Buy a boat or something fun and dumb

I mean, there are a lot of us, so in some sense you're not alone? Still sucks though, I know. *brofist*
