Discussion Monthly Rant/Politics Thread: Do not post political threads outside of this Mega thread

Outside of these mega-threads, we generally do not allow political posts on the main subreddit because they have often declined into unhinged discussions and mud slinging. We do allow general discussions of politics in this thread so long as you remain civil and don't attack someone just for having a different opinion. The moment we see things start to derail, we will step in.

Got something upsetting or overwhelming that you just need to shout out to the world? Want to have a political debate over current events? You can post those thoughts here. There are many real problems that plague the Millennial generation and we want to allow a space for it here while still keeping the angry and divisive posts quarantined to a more concentrated thread rather than taking up the entire front page.

I wish we could go to a Bush/Obama revolving door.

Would you rather a trump obama revolving door?

Probably bc it has swung back and forth so swinging to Bush vs Trump and to Obama vs the lackluster Dem candidates of late. If somehow there is a change to term limits I would love to see Bush/Obama bump Trump off the ticket. The orange diaper king prob doesn’t have long, that will be a strange day.

I mean… to me as I remember it… bush was right there with trump… all this Iran thing gave me total flashbacks to 2001… the exact same talking points Lies and dialogue…

They do have the similarity in that they both mostly wanted the title, Trump wanted the power and leverage to enrich himself while punishing enemies. They both had people around them willing to do anything for their ulterior motives. Cheney/Rumsfeld and Miller/Thiel/Musk/etc etc etc

It is some of the same formula but 9/11 was at least a half ass valid reason for war even though it was BS. The lies were at least believable. The whole Iran aka Netanyahu debacle was on weak legs from before to currently. It’s disgusting and has only benefited one country, inot America.

Man Trump doesn’t makes any sense… I think the whole idea of ppl actually thinking he had a plan beside vanity and getting even with Obama are dead wrong… he is a clown… a compromised clown…

It was mind boggling that every thing he campaigned against were things he was guilty of. The idea that a guy who somehow lost money with multiple Casino’s was a good businessman was insane. The boss’s son was somehow embraced by people who should hate that kind of guy. The draft dodger somehow tough talked military people into his corner. I honestly don’t know how J6 didn’t make the house of cards collapse.
