Images are cut off

Why do images get cut off? I'm posting pictures of birds, and the whole bird is there in the picture when you click on it, but as you scroll through, the pics look like they are cut off. What can I do so the whole picture shows?

Good morning from Palm Springs! I'm still learning how Reddit works, so I thought I'd practice sharing a photo from my morning walk.

Post flair for testing! Practicing how to format a Reddit post and reply to comments.

Upvotes
Hey everyone!
I'm still learning my way around Reddit, so I thought I'd practice using the post editor here.
I'm working on adding a title, writing a few paragraphs, and figuring out how replies work.
Here's a question: Do you usually read through the comments before joining a discussion, or do you just reply right away?
Curious to see how the formatting looks once I publish this.

Post flair for testing! First try posting, being here, everything - hi!

First post! Trying to figure out the controls and what things do. I assume a flair is subreddit-specific and will automatically load the options when I want to post in a subreddit? This site feels very big with lots of corners.

Post flair for testing! Trying a simple bullet list
1
Upvotes
My first ever post on reddit was a list with more than one paragraph in a list item.
It failed. "Sorry, this post was removed by Reddit’s filters." So I'm trying a simple list with two items.
- item one
- item two
