Today’s update cracks open the Rifts with the new Challenge the Rift Mission encounter, kicks off the Portal Combat Questline and welcomes Grave Feather, Homebase’s newest Hero. Lefty and Righty got faster and stronger, Heroic Hours got their own corner in Homebase and a fresh round of bug fixes got squashed. Details below!
New Mission Encounter: Challenge the Rift
You must have wondered at least once what those Rifts scattered across the world are for. Wonder no more!
When in a Mission, deposit four BluGlo into one to summon a battlefield around it and face a Mini-Boss inside the circle, showdown style. Take it down to claim Gold, PERK-UP! and an Evolution Materials Cache.
Know before you aggravate a Rift:
Anyone can step into the circle to join the fight, but nobody leaves until the Mini-Boss is down.
If you’re eliminated and respawn outside, you won’t be able to re-enter the battlefield.
The barrier blocks all attacks from outside.
Structures and Traps inside the circle are cleared so the fight starts on even footing.
If no one inside is left standing, the Mini-Boss vanishes. No restarts!
New Questline: Portal Combat
The Rifts are definitely acting up… Strange monsters are slipping through, the Storm’s energy is leaking out - and in Hexsylvania, even the local Zombie Chickens are getting infected. Complete the Portal Combat Questline by November 18 to unlock Grave Feather, Homebase’s newest Hero.
New Hero: Grave Feather
Don’t worry… it’s only a nightmare. This Legendary Soldier boosts Lefty and Righty’s Crit Rating, with a chance to summon a Phantasm to hunt down nearby enemies.
Standard Perk: Ghoulslinger
Increases Lefty and Righty Crit Rating by 15.
Commander Perk: Ghoulslinger+
Increases Lefty and Righty Crit Rating by 45. Crits have a 40% chance to summon a Phantasm, dealing Energy damage to a nearby enemy.
Lefty and Righty Buffed
The pistols come out faster, and they stay out longer! We’ve reworked the ability’s uptime Perks to allow you to use it more frequently without the elimination part:
Double Agent Evelynn's "Where's Lefty" Perk now gives a percentage cooldown reduction to Lefty and Righty - 30% as a Support Perk and 66% when slotted as Commander.
Noir’s “Pump Metal” Perk now increases Lefty and Righty’s duration by a flat 5 seconds or 20 as Commander.
These targeted buffs bring both Perks in line with their Goin’ Commando counterparts - “Goin’ Again” and “Ain’t Done Yet”.
New Heroic Hours Homebase Section
Heroic Hours now have their own corner in Homebase! You’ll find a new display above the Quest Log board, showing what Heroic Hours are happening and exactly how long remains on the clock.
The Door to Darkness Questline Returns
Something’s knocking at the Door of Darkness, and a ghost named Willow wants to keep it shut. Complete the Questline to earn Gold, Candy and the Willow Hero.
Willow
This Legendary Outlander from the Fortnitemares Heroes set hits harder the closer she is to becoming a ghost herself - her ability damage rises as her health drops.
Standard Perk: Ghoulish Cackle
Increase ability damage based on the percentage of your missing health.
Commander Perk: Ghoulish Cackle+
Increase ability damage based on the percentage of your missing health. In addition, ability eliminations have a chance to conjure a Phantasm, dealing Energy damage to a nearby enemy.

Welcome to Teacher Tuesday, a thread where anyone can ask any type of question without the fear of getting deathly glares by a passing Blaster! Questions can range from whats new in Fortnite, whats the current meta, or even where did the storm even come from? Questions can come from brand new players, players returning, or veteran players who never got a chance to ask the right question(s).
Brief recap: I was chat banned for a week because I was using the "Defend Here" comms feature to tell me defender where to go. I wasn't spamming, but the defenders can be janky and might not react correctly, plus the storm moves and so I move them around. Someone must have assumed I was spamming and weren't aware that's how defenders work and reported me. Then Epic's fabulous automated system banned me. I was on Xbox and did not have any other dialogue in chat.

Go figure with all the problems that the newer features have brought (Hestia and load times, matchmaking issues, etc.) one of them would eventually lead to directly punishing the players accounts because of how broken the implementation is.
I'm so frustrated. I have never had any bans/sanctions on my account, and now this and I can't do anything to get it removed. I hate feeling so helpless in a situation that isn't my fault.
Maybe this is how they try to get rid of founders. Introduce features that when used will break TOS and blame it on us.
So, i came back after a while and noticed my vbucks was gone, i had about 150 before completing dalies. The website stated that i had 500. As I'm writing this, it just updated to 800, so genuinely wtf is going on?? I figured I'd post it here because i do not buy vbucks anymore, i play stw to earn them. Anyone know what's going on here?
cranky level 58's ghost city deliver the bomb mission seems pretty bugged...
I tried playing it solo but i found it too hard even for 4 people, there are way too many husks and the other blue monster (idk the name cuz i play in italian version) especially the ones who destroy everything.
this becomes impossible to win because the bomb gets too much damage and even after the bomb is destroyed monsters keep on spawning and there's nothing you can do cuz they'll destroy the rails as quickly as you place em
I was getting my daily v-bucks done, doing a defend mission and using the "Defend Here" command to tell my defenders where to do. Someone else started spamming "Defend Here", "Defend Here" and "Hold On" I assume because they were mocking me or thought I was telling them where to defend, and by the end of the mission I had a chat ban.
A literal IN-GAME feature got me my first ever ban after all these years.
Not ONCE did I use my mic, nor type anything in chat. Just the auto generated Defend Here. Plus I was on Xbox.
I'm so frustrated right now. I've had a clean record and have put so much money into this account that I'm always careful not to do anything wrong, especially since I've heard how people get random bans out of nowhere, and now here I am with this happening.
Save the World is currently sitting at 97% positive ratings, compared to Battle Royale at 83%.
It's nice to see STW receiving such a positive rating, especially considering how long the community has been asking for more support and attention for the mode.
I wouldn't use these numbers alone to compare the two communities, but it's still a good reminder that, despite its smaller player base, STW has a dedicated community that genuinely loves the game.
Lately I've been wanting to get back into playing a bit of fortnite but every time I go to boot it up it never leaves the login screen and always says stuff like "Locating Region" or "Initializing usability Settings" and after a few minutes it asked me to relaunch or quit, then repeats the cycle. Not even a year ago was I having this issue. I run fiber optic ethernet with a good pc. Any help would be appreciated.
I've tried my best to play without any outside help, with my 2 violations being asking this sub a while ago how to progress and recently looking up MSK builds. Being on this sub unintentionally led to me learning about the trap wheel though, which I discovered how to access today. I was playing a constructor, and that makes today the day I learned how to equip BASE. I'm in twine, I've fought MSK, and my current hero quest is Activate BASE Ability. Anyone have similar stories?
Swamp Knight is busted. He clears out crowds by aura farming and giga buffs his minigun vs bosses. Because the Phantasms do crowd life leach, buffing their damage pretty much makes you unkillable. He used to be kinda vulnerable while in minigun but not with Ghoulslinger. I used to use Arleen Izza in support because she has the best healing perk and melee synergizes with Swamp Knight but she is just totally outclassed now. This loadout is extremely survivable and is only kinda vulnerable to ranged enemies and your own greed. This is go to main loadout.
You could probably use See-Bot in commander too since you can reliably get Phantasms from Ghoulslinger. He's the only hero in the game who has both LeftyRighty and Minigun, buffing both through headshots
Black Knight is underrated. While Going Constructor you're basically immortal while dealing huge damage and clearing crowds and the shield attracts things to you like decoy. When you're not in your ability he can consistently do a lot of damage with Kinetic overload and avoid damage and manage crowds with Decoy and Bullrush. The main vulnerability is his speed and mobility while Going Constructor. Decoy is very powerful.
Both these loadouts are great in regular missions too. I just swap Minigun cool down for shotgun crit damage. And Black Knight is a constructor
I am always experimenting with off meta weapons, heroes, and team perks, and currently testing Grave Feather in support of some of my builds and thought I’d share one of my favorite super off meta loadouts. Everything is very synergistic and works off eachother. I’m max level Offense 5,678 and everyone is PL144 so your numbers may be different from mine
ED-EE has a massive damage bonus when you crit with a shield, Bio-Energy gives you shield when you use energy. Spamming the heavy attack on melee weapons uses energy which keeps your shield up, combined with Energy Siphon means you should always be taking full advantage of ED-EEs perk. Rapid charge keeps the energy abundant, Anatomy lessons with the Armageddon as I’ve perked it a 60.5% chance to crit, and each heavy attack has 2 hits, so you’re almost guaranteed to explode on at least one of them, and often on both hits. Constructors have a ton of health so Paleo Luna really shines in support for the massive damage bonus. Especially since your shield is always regenerating, meaning you’ll very rarely lose any health, so her bonus is always max and is effective in the event you don’t get a crit. I replaced Corrosive Strikes with Grave Feather at the cost of -8% HAD, -1.75k shield but +6k health. Both heroes work great in this loadout but I’ve been getting roughly +5k or more combat totals per mission with Grave.
TLDR; you spam the heavy attack every swing, almost guaranteed crits, almost always full health and shield. 2 weapons to play with, both insanely strong and fun in this loadout. Staccato Shotto defenders work great with melee loadouts for getting riot husks to drop their fridge shields. Try it out
I've done literally everything I can think of and I cannot get past the loading screen into fortnite.
About a year ago on the same PC I was playing fortnite heavy with 0 issues and now as im trying to return to it, I cannot get the game to work.
SPECS : CPU I9 13900k, GPU : 4070 TI Super
Ive done everything you can think of. Updated all drivers and windows. Tried launching in -dx11. -d3d11, -NOSPLASH, -limitnoscreenresolution, and -disablegpucrashingdebugging. Ive verified game files, underclocked my CPU, uninstalled and reinstalled. Deleted files from webcache, saved, crashhandler, etc. Everything you can delete in there that should help I've done. Ive turned off discord overlay. Ive tried every reddit forum, every facebook thread. I genuinely have no idea what to do at this point.
If you guys have any advice or anything else you can think of id really appreciate it :)
