Exceeded Expectation Magicarp popsicle

I totally thought the product image was AI and did not expect this to look that well

Edit: I bought this in a Korean convenience store. I just took a screenshot from a Japanese website because it was the first pic I found online.

Scrolled down and saw a messed up poptart immediately 😂 in japan theres a law that products have to look exactly like advertised.

Edit: the product is apparently bought in korea. I only saw japanese on the website and thought they bought it there.

See, the Japanese need laws to ensure perfection, while the Koreans manage it by nature.

I doubt this was sold in Japan, since the price is in won, not yen. Looks like they're on a Korean e-commerce site and they have the language set to Japanese.

Edit: OP has clarified that they bought it in Korea. The first image is just something they found online to represent the "Expectation."

Which means, it's also sold in Japan...

It's not sold in Japan though, at least not yet.

The actual packaging is just a cartoon and wouldn't follow the Japanese law anyway.

No, it doesn't. The price is in won. It's more than likely a Korean marketplace.

I can set the language on amazon.com to Chinese, but it doesn't mean that these books are sold in China.

(Made extra confusing because I'm in Japan, so the prices are in yen, so we've got Japanese yen prices for books sold in America displayed in Chinese)

(Hence "more than likely." It could be a Japanese marketplace, and the person who captured the image was in Korea, so the price was in won, just like my Amazon.com price is in yen. But I think it's more likely to be "Japanese user looking at a Korean marketplace for a Korean product" than "Korean user looking at a Japanese marketplace for a Korean product")
