Exceeded Expectation Magicarp popsicle

I totally thought the product image was AI and did not expect this to look that well

Edit: I bought this in a Korean convenience store. I just took a screenshot from a Japanese website because it was the first pic I found online.

I was 100% expecting one of those spongebob abominations.

I just want to know how much they cost to make vs these pokemon ones.

It has to be a cost thing that leads to those horror show popsicles

I always assumed storage played a large part in their deformities. Most frozen treats don’t have the same level of detail, so can withstand a few minutes outside the freezer during transport without turning into abominations.

The orange part was the actual ice cream, while all applications like the eye and fins were firmer, like chocolate, so they can't mix with the rest. It also came in a kind of plastic mold with a cardboard box around it

The cold chain exists for a reason.

Thawing and re-freezing can lead to degraded products and health issues. That goes double for things that are milk based.

I'm sure the dude selling popsicles out of a 40 year old ice cream van has the highest standards
