and I'm not even a Pistons fan. Ausar is the best wing defender I've ever seen. Pippen and Kawhi are the only people who I can understand arguments for, and I'd even put Ausar above them.

I got mad watching NBA Today, where the topics, in order, were:

1. Knicks & 76ers, which checks out. Ring night with that guy lurking uncomfortably behind the podium, Ohio-strong LeBron, tasty Knicks loss? Agreed, totally correct.

2. OKC & Spurs. Excellent rivalry, Wemby, SGA 3 time MVP hype, Chet getting rag dolled? Makes sense.

I was pretty fine being 3rd, I even expected it. New look Tatum-led Celtics, Great American Hope Cade, "Pistons: frauds or legit?"... but I get it.

1. But it was actually a Heat Timberwolves preview. Then, they analyzed the Miami Heat with Spoelstra. Annoyed, but Ant & Melo is gold, and Giannis is a former MVP in a new home. So... fine.

2. After commercials, they go Lakers Warriors, and Luka's definitely inspiring message for Lakerland. Triggered, I think of the '04 Pistons and smile. This is tough to accept.

3. The next topic is a Curry 1-on-1 conversation and analysis of the wounded Warriors, health updates on Moses Moody, Yaxel upside, complete with a tough update that Porzingis is considering retirement due to health. Shams then also reports the Warriors are open to trading him. No shit.

4. More commercials and then at 46m35s, I get to hear about PG's 38 and Tentative Tatum who I'm told wore PG's shoes once, before finally a Piston mention with a disjointed clusterfuck of misaligned A/V.

Season off to a good start. Let's start stacking these wins again. We're going to give teams hell this year.

Okay here is the scenario, I live outside of the broadcast media market for my team, the Pistons and I work nights. I would like to listen to the radio broadcast of the day's game while working. This is something accomplished fairly simply when I use the Major League Baseball app. Is there an equivalent for the NBA? I subscribed to the audio-only NBA app subscription but haven't found what I'm looking for.

The tigers opening day (and also usually a game a week all season long) starts at 1pm on a weekday, and yet no one has any issues with that.

The turn out was fantastic. The weather was great, and the sun was still up when the game ended. It was pound for pound the best regular season game I ever been to.

Many people in this sub work an afternoon or night shift, or weekends, or anything in between and they miss tons of games all season. Having a singular game at 3pm to tip off the entire season was a huge success. If you weren’t able to get a paid day off or even a half day or something like that, after 2+ months of notice, then that’s just unfortunate for you. We all have to miss some games every season, one reason or another.

All in all. Massive success. I hope they do this every year for us. I’m sure the vast majority of people that were at the game will agree, it was a great game, great environment, and the weather was perfect. The loudest the arena has ever been, outside of playoff games.

Is it fair to say that J.B. is giving Ron Holland the same treatment that he gave Isaac Okoro when he was in Cleveland? Admittedly, Okoro had a longer leash (evident by his MPG in the regular season when Bickerstaff was there) but the rigid approach to Holland’s usage/PT has been pretty close to how Okoro’s time ended with the Cavs. I really hope it was just a case of going with the hot hand(s) off the bench, but 3 minutes in the season opener of a crucial season for both Holland and the Pistons is slightly concerning.
