Cause he's an adult not a baby? He didn't get a hug oh no, he can go golf or eat a pizza or do literally whatever he wants except hug someone who doesn't want a hug THAT TIME. It's not all hugs just that one hug it's really not that big of a deal to hear no and respect it.

It’s not a big deal, but why is he not allowed to be sad he didn’t get a hug lol. We teach kids to express their emotion and then a grandfather is expressing his emotion as sad and we’re yelling at him because why again? He asked for a hug didn’t get it and then didn’t grab the kid against its will?

Point to where I said he can't be sad? Unless you mean he's sad so he should get his way? Nobody said the word sad.
