I love this because I think often times a kid's first brush with weighing social norms vs comfort is a kiss and hug from your grandparents. It's good for a kid to learn how to say no to trusted people like grandma and grandpa and have them and your parents back you up. Makes it so much easier to say no to the teacher, coach, bus driver, dude/chick at a party, etc. Makes it easier to tell someone when something isn't right.
