What could possibly be controversial about this?

Sorts by controversial and just finds people who are exactly the target audience for this ad

People get ENRAGED if you ever dare to claim children should be treated as full humans with boundaries and preferences. Because making a kid bathe and brush their teeth is the same thing as forcing hugs on them, obviously.

When I watch my nephews, I make them eat balanced meals. I don’t force feed them brussels sprouts even though they despise them.

It's controversial because of who the ad is targeting. The problem with "consent" isn't elderly Irish grandparents giving too many hugs.

It's the migr*nts raping women

Did you happen to catch the end of the ad there?

Something like 80-90% of child sexual abuse is committed by someone the kid knows. But nice attempt at fear mongering because you're scared of melanin

Tell me you don't understand consent or the point of the ad by telling me exactly that you don't understand consent or the point of the ad

I've averaged out the replies in my inbox recently and I'd say probably 85-90% of them are just comments like this, saying literally nothing lol.

Just some varying degrees of people who were upset by my factual comments that felt compelled to respond, but have no actual argument against anything I said, so it's just long-winded versions of

"ur wrong"/ "ur dum"

It would have accomplished the same thing. Really, silence would have accomplished the same thing lol, but I guess it was important for you to make me aware that my comment upset you. Mission accomplished, I will file you under "upset."

Dude I had to shake hands with one of my business clients one time. He didn't ask for consent first! IT WAS HORRIBLE. Also one time when I was a baby my aunt picked me up and held me! I'm still traumatized!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the most disturbing comment section I've read in a long time.
