My three year old told me today her tummy was private and she didn't want me to rub it. I instantly took my hand away and told her sure, it's your body and if you don't want that's ok.

Why do people have such a hard time grasping the concept??

You are raising your child superbly, based only on that one interaction. They aren't going to be able to appreciate just how well they have been raised for decades. But boy will they.

Thanks for the encouragement. I have three year old twins and I sometimes feel at my wits end. Hopefully doing something right anyway!
