It seems to me it wouldn't fly well, because it's missing few folds: nose is too light

It WOULD fly well. Love making those plains.

Why not decorate them a bit so they’re less plain?

Well sure, you make your own auto folding paper plane Lego machine and you can decorate all you like!

What does their affinity to landscape creation have to do with decorating flying objects?

I always found that slimmer paper planes flew better for me. They would land nicely while the wider ones would stall mid air and nosedive.

Maybe the launcher was too powerful? The last plane basically goes nowhere

They have the technology but not the Legos?

Im not gonna call something a paper plane if flight was not established. This device is merely a Lego paper folder.

I think this machine would fly like a brick.

Sure, but it wasn’t even about the design or how well it may or may not work, just about the people immediately snatching it out of the air so that we can’t see it launch & fly.

This isn’t a 747. There is a single row of people and nothing behind them. This isn’t even a busy place at a venue. Doesn’t look like it would have been a problem at all to let one take a flight every once in a while. Don’t need to be launching them 24/7 obviously.

Wow. Really?

The problem wasnt the design, but the hands conveniently placed right in the line of trajectory to prevent it from flying.

Had this demonstration included launching, we would have seen it fly.
