Found this page by a Kevin L. Brooks, and it features some characters from Pre-MCU Guardians of the Galaxy. I loved the run penciled by Jim Valentino.
you can find more of Kevin L. Brooks work here

This image is my inks over the pencils of Robson Rocha, a super penciller and artist. The inks were done on an iPad Pro, with an Apple Pencil and Procreate. No AI or filters. All strokes applied by hand.

I’m so grateful to my parents for never discouraging me from drawing. I’ve heard horror stories of people being told to study to be a doctor or lawyer as a backup.
Hmm... doctors make how much money, and the nurses do the heavy lifting? Lawyers make how much, and paralegals do the grunt work. And I chose the field people think of as populated by starving artists.
A few years ago, my dad told me he wanted me to become a politician. If he had told me before, I might have pursued it. I was making those kinds of connections in elementary school.
Would I have been happy in either case?
I also know lawyers who started doing art late in their career. One who turned their back completely on the profession to pursue an art career.
Even in today’s climate, I’m happy with my decision. I still get work. I would draw even without having clients, so getting paid is icing on the cake.
Depicted is my art of Jane Foster, originally drawn by Jack Kirby. She is Dr. Donald Blake’s nurse.
