Pocket Dump / EDC Please advice on the final piece missing! BODYGUARD 2.0 with OPTIC CUT

Post image
• Upvotes

Dear community I got into CCW only this year.

I have been constantly training but I am considering adding to my collection the Bodyguard 2.0

This will be the final piece of the rotation. I saw a bundle with 4 mags, optic cut and carry comp.

Do you thing this bundle is good?

Currently have G17 for Home Defense.

CZ P-10 C COA for daily carry.

J-Frame because my Dad had one.

Last piece of the puzzle will be the comfortable carry.

Let me know your thoughts!

Guns & Ammo Small EDC carry recommendations for smaller frame guy

I’ve owned a Glock 19 for over 10 years, which I originally purchased for home defense. I’ve tried carrying it IWB, but as a smaller-framed guy, I find it too large and uncomfortable for everyday carry. I’d like to start carrying more consistently, so I’ve been looking for something smaller and more comfortable.
I initially had my eye on the Bodyguard 2.0 because of its size and weight. I stopped at a local gun shop after work today to get a feel for one in person. It was even smaller than I expected, almost too small, but I really liked how lightweight it was and could see it being much more comfortable to carry.
Then the employee handed me a P365. The P365 felt noticeably better in my hands, with a more ergonomic grip. It’s a little larger and heavier, and it’s also chambered in 9mm, but I could see it being less comfortable to EDC and the price of the gun itself is roughly twice that of the Bodyguard 2.0.
I’ve looked through SIG’s website, and the number of different P365 models is a little overwhelming. Unfortunately, I can’t remember exactly which model I handled at the shop. It may have been the P365X or P365x compact.
At this point, I’m torn between the two.
The BG 2.0 is lightweight, easy to conceal, and seems like it would be more comfortable for everyday carry. On the other hand, the P365 feels better in my hands, and 9mm ammo is easier to find and cheaper which means more time at the range. The downside is the significantly higher upfront cost, along with the added size and weight.
Is the P365 worth the extra money, or would I be better off going with the Bodyguard 2.0 for its size and comfort? Any advice or recommendations are appreciated

Getting Started New to concealed carry and looking for recommendations!

Hi! This is mainly for the women who conceal carry, since I’m a woman myself, but men are welcome to chime in, too! Any advice or tips are appreciated. TIA!

A little background:
I grew up around guns and recently received a 9mm Smith & Wesson as a gift, but it’s been a while since I’ve been shooting. I recently spent about six hours with my brother practicing my grip, stance, loading and racking the slide, learning terminology, taking the gun apart and cleaning it, and going over what to do if it malfunctions, along with several other things. We’ll be practicing together a few more times until I feel confident and have everything down.
My plan is to spend some time practicing at the range with the handgun I currently have so I can get comfortable shooting again before choosing a handgun specifically for everyday carry. Once I’ve narrowed down my options, I also plan to get professional instruction.
I’ve been researching different handguns and safety features, but there’s so much information out there that I’d love to hear from people with firsthand experience!

A few things I’d love your input on:
What handgun did you ultimately choose for concealed carry, and what made you choose it?
What type of holster do you use, especially if you carry appendix? What do you like or dislike about it?
What safety features were important to you when choosing your handgun, and why?
Are there any particular handguns or holsters you’d recommend a beginner try before making a decision?
I’m especially interested in appendix carry and have noticed there are quite a few different holster styles. I’d love to hear what has worked best for you in terms of comfort, concealment, and safety.
I’m not looking to rush into a purchase. I want to do my research, try out a few options at the range, and find something that fits me well.
I appreciate any recommendations, personal experiences, and advice you’re willing to share. Thank you!

Edit: my 9mm is for the house so thats why Im looking for another to carry on my person.

Holsters & Belts Now I understand a good holster

Post image

I’ve been carrying a g17 for a few years now in a holster made by a local shop. It’s never given me any real reason to complain about it. Last week I finally but the bullet and invested in a Tenicor holster and Hunter Constantine belt.

I get it now. It’s drastically more comfortable, feels better to draw from and is more secure on my waist. I understand they’re two different sized pistols so the M&P is naturally going to be more comfortable, but I plan to grab one for my 17, and other carry pistols, too.

Holsters & Belts G19 holster recommendation

Currently running my G19.5 in an aliengear shapeshifter. Typically carry 5 o’clock because it conceals well in my tucked in work clothes but I’m looking for a better appendix holster. The aliengear doesn’t have a claw or anything so it just fits akwardly.

I find the groove life belt I wear is rigid enough to support my gun and works well with holsters but remains dressy enough for work clothes but I’m open to recommendations there as well.

6’4 240 for reference.

Other Equipment Optic and C cut

Sent the Glock 19 gen 3 slide and barrel off to Glockstore for a fresh new cut. Well, actually several cuts. I took advantage of their optic cut for my Osight SE and the discount on their "C" cut as well. Why? Because my first pistol almost 20 years ago was a 19c iykyk. Anyways, I'll do a another video on everything I mounted once it came back but I think it turned out absolutely beautiful! Time to lube it up and put some rounds through it! What do you think about it? Let me know!

Holsters & Belts Looking for a new holster for LCP Max

I'm looking for a iwb holster for an LCP Max that protects the magazine release button.

I have an LCP Max I've had it for years and I've got a Vedder holster that served me well in that time but I found as I've gotten older I've started expanding a little bit. My body has been accidentally pressing the magazine release button while getting in and out of the car and had the magazine to partially eject

Seems like a good choice for edc. Im reading about a lot of qc issues though. One guy said 80 % of them had to be shipped back. Did they solve this yet?

What other comparable models/better options should i be looking at?

Legal CCW in Las Vegas – Carrying at Tourist Attractions?

I’m from California and have both a California CCW and an Arizona nonresident CCW, which Nevada recognizes.

I normally carry everywhere I’m legally allowed to in California, but I’ll be visiting Vegas soon and wanted to hear from others who regularly carry there.
How is concealed carry at tourist attractions like the Museum of Ice Cream, museums, shopping malls, restaurants, and other places along the Strip?

Are most places CCW-friendly, or do they have restrictions and security screenings? I’m familiar with California’s laws but not as familiar with how things work in Vegas.

Just trying to get an idea of what to expect from people who live there or visit regularly.

Guns & Ammo Fenix Ammo

Today I got an email offer from an outfit called Fenix Ammunition. I've heard of them but haven't heard anything about the quality of their ammunition. It would be for range shooting not self defense. The prices look good but bad ammo can be expensive in the long run. Any insight on the quality of their product?
