This is lunacy, right?

Post image

An Islamic terrorist who belonged to Al-Qaeda and later Isis has been spotted shopping at King Charles’ local Co-op.

Mohammed Yaseen was free to walk the streets near Windsor Castle after he was allowed to stay in Britain on human rights grounds.

Yaseen was part of the Al Qaeda group that beheaded Briton Ken Bigley before joining a unit in Isis that carried out stonings, beheadings and mass executions.

He was released from prison last week after serving just six months of a two-year sentence for illegally entering the country on a small boat, following a near five-year prison term in Germany for his Isis membership.

The Foreign Office has raised concerns he could face ‘mistreatment’ if he were returned to Iraq because of his terrorist past, the Mail on Sunday reports.

Experts have said Yaseen could cost the taxpayer £85,000 as the Home Office pays for his stay in accomodation and his food allowance.

Chris Philp, Shadow Home Secretary, said: ‘We are paying through the nose to feed, clothe and house individuals who pose a clear threat. If Andy Burnham took this seriously, he would deport this man at once.’

A court in Germany heard in 2020 that Yaseen was involved in bomb attacks that killed US troops in Iraq.

He also served as a security guard for Isis, including during at least two mass executions where the victims included children.

Yaseen was intercepted last December by Border Force. He gave officials a false name before routine biometric checks revealed his true identity.

At his trial at Winchester Crown Court, prosecutor Steven Molloy said Yaseen had a ‘deeper and lengthy involvement in terrorism and Islamic extremist ideology’.

It is understood that Yaseen was cleared to walk around town with an ankle tag and observe a 6pm to 6am curfew.

However these restrictions did not stop him going to Windsor Great Park or to the castle.

Yaseen grew up in western Iraq and became a member of Islamic State of Iraq, a franchise of Al Qaeda, aged just 16.

I've got to say, as someone of Soth Asian heritage this is getting extremely exhausting. I open Reddit for some escapism, but all I see is hatred about people I look like. It makes me so sad as I'm British born and raised but I guess I'm not allowed to be.

The hatred in this post is against a terrorist, nothing to do with his ‘look’. If your going around looking for offence online, you will find it .

Nah, brother, you lot wouldn’t bat an eyelid if it were someone white from Britain First. Stop hiding behind plausible deniability.

If it was someone white from Britain First who had done the same things this man has done, then yes, everyone would be batting a eyelid and the sentiment in the comment section would be the same

Who is the bigger 'terrorist' ?

Mau Mau uprising brutality. Bating Kali massacre. Indian partition. Operation Masterdom. And more recently, Iraq war (1 &2), Afghanistan, jesus christ on a bike, give yer head a wobble. No bigger terrprist than the Americans & British.

Not relevant to my comment, pointing out other people / organisations / countries you think are terrorists, doesn’t mean this man isn’t.

Absolutley relevant !!

You cant have a country that promotes terrorism globally, urgingnits citize s to complain about another guy who is an alleged terrorist.

Its called pot calling the kettle.black.

The people who live in the community with him, are not terrorists. They have a right to be concerned about this happening on their doorstep. Your issue with global politics is irrelevant to this.

Ah of course. A terrorist country thst promotes mass murder, is crying g because an alleged terrorist  is walking around ?

Irrelevant ? Do you see rhe hypocri... no. Its pointless. British & Americans think global law doesnt apply to them.

You need to separate a government / country and it geopolitical impact globally, and the people who live in that country. No one I know or interact with in this country is a terrorist, or promotes mass murder. So why don’t we have the right to complain about a known terrorist living in our community?

That’s a fair argument.. the issue is our Govt doesn’t separate the population from the govt in other countries (see Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya etc for working examples).. I pointed out, earlier, that the person in the photo was jailed before this was posted.. I also don’t like terrorists walking around and am glad he’s back in jail but OP suspiciously posted at 3am so i question their country of origin.
However, until we get our house in order, eg enabling war and war by proxy in other countries we will have this problem. Furthermore our soft skill diplomatic tools (overseas development funds etc) have been drastically reduced which again, creates a vacuum for other malicious agents to manipulate against us… we need rid of the likes of Tommy Robinson et al (it sounds contradictory) to actually reduce our negative impact on the world..

But you’re still doing exactly what I’m talking about. Our government’s foreign policy doesn’t remove ordinary people’s right to be concerned about terrorism in their own community. I can disagree with what our government does abroad and still expect people here to be held accountable for their own actions. There’s no contradiction there.
If he was already back in prison, fair enough, correct the post. That’s relevant. But posting at 3am makes someone’s nationality suspicious? Have you never stayed up late or worked a night shift? That’s a ridiculous leap.
And where does Tommy Robinson come into this? You don’t have to support him to have concerns about a terrorist living nearby.
You’ve said yourself you’re glad he’s back in jail, so we agree on the actual issue. Why does that need to become a debate about Iraq, foreign aid and whether OP is really British?
