I've been using Trakt on my TV and Tablet (Android) both through Umbrella for about a year and aside from the odd issue here and there it's been pretty stable.

I know they made some changes recently and removed a load of features to push people towards paying but does anyone know if having the ability to resume play is one of those? I.e. If I stop an episode half way through whenever I return to the episode it now starts from the beginning.

It's been happening for a few weeks and it's not intermittent, everything I watch now starts from the beginning.

Is that functionality gone or is it a bug? I've checked and my Umbrella settings have both Resume Playback and Auto Resume ticked in the Playback settings. Trakt is also set up as the default for resume points etc. -

It shows that the episode or film is partially watched in the widget menu so it does know that but then ignores it when I click play.

📦 Installation

1. Open the Resonance GitHub repository.
2. Go to Releases and download the add-on ZIP file.
3. In Kodi, navigate to Add-ons → Install from zip file.

5. Restart Kodi if necessary, then open Add-ons → Music add-ons → Resonance.

🔐 Setting up Spotify

Resonance uses two separate Spotify integrations for playback and catalogue browsing, presented through one setup flow.

1. Playback — Spotify Connect

Open Set up Spotify in Resonance. Then open Spotify on your phone or computer and select the Kodi-Resonance-XXXX device.

Your Kodi device and Spotify controller generally need to be on the same local network for device discovery and control.

2. Catalogue browsing — your own Spotify API app

You need your own Spotify Developer app and Web API Client ID. Resonance does not include a shared Client ID.

1. Create an app in the Spotify Developer Dashboard.

2. Configure the redirect URI exactly as specified in the project README:

   https://resonance-spotify-callback.vercel.app/api/callback

3. Copy the 32-character Client ID into Resonance → Settings → Advanced.

4. Run Set up Spotify again.

5. Scan the displayed QR code or open the provided URL in a browser on another device to complete sign-in.

⚠️ Limitations worth knowing

Some limitations come from Spotify's API, account permissions, or playback requirements rather than Kodi itself.

• Spotify Premium is required for playback.
• Playlist access is restricted by Spotify. A playlist may appear in your library but still be inaccessible if Spotify does not grant access to its contents. This can affect followed playlists, including playlists owned by other users.
• Playlist search is not included. Resonance focuses on playlists and content the signed-in account is permitted to access.
• Lyrics, podcasts, audiobooks, recently played items, and Spotify top lists are not included in this release.
• Playback is streaming-only; offline downloads are not supported.
• API availability, permissions, and rate limits can affect what the add-on can retrieve or do.

I'm sure everyone has had enough of my posts today, so I apologize in advance. Umbrella was updated to 6.7.93 today. One of the big complaints over the years has always been "there's too many settings". I agree, but I also feel like having options outweighs that. In order to make things easier, I have added an option to export and import settings in Umbrella now. This does include the ability to transfer debrid, and online service tokens. Keep in mind, some services may want you to re-authenticate between devices.

do not transfer your debrid account to a friend's umbrella then blame me because you get banned for using from two places at once.

the other change is a "much requested" combination search. You can now search for movies and tv shows in the same search.

Worked great until I tried last night. Firestick and Torbox loaded and activated. Click a show or movie, will find links and then have message of "no streams available". Tried enabling coco scrappers. Will find even more links, but same message. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have been using AnimeTosho because it has the links i want, however today its not turning up any links at all, yet it was working just fine for months. I know it shutdown but the old content should still be there so I dont understand what happened. Can anyone tell me what I can do to get AnimeTosho working again?

After updating umbrella playnext is not working at all no box comes up at the end of episodes like it's meant to it was working before the update perfectly fine no settings have changed all the same as they were when it was working I have uninstalled the add on and reinstalled and redid all the settings the exact same as before and it is still not working. I have tried 3 other add-ons and all of the autoplay features for those other add ONS are working so I am sure I have isolated this issue to a problem with umbrella any help would be appreciated thank you

• FenlightPlus 2.5.3 (thejason40, this imports something the others don't and may break in the future)
• Redlight 2.8.8 (must use "other" at the select window)

• plugin.video.pov 6.10.16+ (POV) is now required and installation should be automatic.
• script.module.magneto 6.10.16+ (Magneto Module) contains a thin wrapper for POV Sources.
• if using Magneto only as an external source for another addon, select POV directly as that external source and remove Magneto Module.
• Magneto Module as an AIOStreams player for tmdbhelper is unchanged.

why did I do this?
less hassle for me. over time, maintaining two similar but different addons has become a chore.

from the start, POV used its own sources which meant that I could make changes/tweaks the way I wanted. some of those were not always copy/paste transferable to Magneto because addons expected things the old Fenomscrapers way.

so for now I have for abandoned those changes for the sake of simplicity.

I suppose users now have one less addon to install/run.

I just opened my umbrella to watch my show on my fire tv. Noticed it had updated. When I went to watch my show i selected a link and it said playback failed. Then suddenly started to play but went back to season select screen. Both Alldebrid and Realdebrid are active, my scraper is Magneto which is updated and enabled. I have no idea why it's doing this but it was fine last night before the update. FML.

Setting up Kodi on my PlayStation and it’s been a while since I’ve done a fresh set up. Last time I did, my build was:
- Skin: Arctic
- Video: Seren
- Scraper: A4k
- sources: RealDebrid

Is the build mostly the same but swap Seren for Umbrella and A4k for Coco? TIA

Although I don't watch anime, I thought my microserver orac and kodi addon liberator would be well placed to handle anime given it has a local DB. Spent quite some time trying to understand the issues, and since then I've built in mapping between trakt/tmdb and MAL/Anilist, built syncing of the offline DB so that for anime titles I can match tmdb/MAL/Anilist.

So now that I have the anime visible from liberator and mapped, I need to test that the mapping will mean streams can be found. I don't know enough anime, so could someone who does please share with me a difficult show, one that has issues being scraped because of the way it is labelled, so that I can test out my scraping? Please give me information on the show and the problems you have so that I can use that to test.

Hey guys, trying to make the move from trakt to mdblist.

I got mdblist authorized in POV.

I have an in progress widget from trakt I'm trying to replace. I can see the next up list on the mdblist website but cannot get it into kodi. The "my lists" section is empty in POV and when I try to add the widget.

I linked mdblist with tmdbhelper and the my list section is empty there too.

I'm guessing there is a step I'm missing. Any help appreciated.

Magneto updated and now it errors out every time on Xbox. Looking at the log I think I know what it is wrong cuz another addon had this problem last week but I could be wrong. I think it wants access to something but Xbox doesn't allow access to whatever it is

So I've installed the new Diggz Xenon v1.5 build with the umbrella flavor. Got everything working or so I thought until I tried to watch a link within umbrella. Looks like I have it fixed now by installing magneto module scrapers. However I would just like to know, why did I have to manually do that. Did I make a mistake when installing the build? I don't remember having to manually install a scraper for umbrella before. I've certainly changed them once previous builds were installed.

Im using youtube addon, already setup the api keys and looked at inoutstream adaptive. The login works fine but any video i play will be at 360p and no other quality option appears. Even the play (ask for quality) plays 360p.

Im using artic fuse 2 and corelec on a ugoos amb6+.

edit: i noticed that even casting from phone to coreelec via tubecast it shows 360p and no option to change. could this be an issue on the device not decrypting the format of higher res?

I'm trying to add MDBList to POV as a source of lists. I found this tutorial that was posted 1 year ago:

However, both on my apple tv box and on my desktop I cannot make it work.

When I go to:

Settings > Settings:POV > My Lists > MDBList

there is no authorize button. Whenever I click on MDBList or any of the services listed there, it just closes the settings window.

There was a setting to hide uncached in the Source Select window, I had to set to hide them, but changed it and now I can't find it again. Has it been removed or am snow-blind to it?

I made an account (I haven't purchased it yet) as I'm having issues figuring out how exactly to do that since it doesn't take debit Visa cards.

My other issue is that I can't find the activate section so I can pair it with POV. I've gone through the website and I'm coming up with nothing.

I've already tried Torbox but they seem to have less connections than RD and that doesn't make sense to me. As I ran them both simultaneously.

Idk what to do at this point as I know that Prem is a little more expensive than the rest of them and I'm trying to keep my costs down.
