I’m generally a conservative but the ad from Vivek has gotten Amy my vote. It literally is nothing but an attack campaign and is the exact reason good people don’t want to join politics.

Looking to get new downspout drains installed at my house. Has anyone used a company called Drain Designs out of Youngstown? Anyone have any good recommendations?

Has the greatest player in the history of the program currently playing at QB who is from the area and has a play style that is incredibly entertaining to watch. They score almost at will, have a legit shot at winning it all and the stadium is more than half empty every game, 80% of the students leave after half, the tailgate lot is full of people getting drunk and I don’t think half of them even go into the game.
You can get reserved tickets, 50 yard line, for $10, ten freaking dollars. Buy them on the YSU website and just select “senior” no one checks or cares. Parking is $5 at the Beegly Hall lot, you can literally sneak in snacks and drinks in your coat or purse, no one cares, and it’s great football.
Go see them.

Looking at Legacy Tire & Auto for some maintenance work (just moved from out of state). They have 5 stars on google, so I'm curious if anyone here has firsthand experience with them.
For anyone who's been there, how was your experience? And how do they compare to other places? Thanks!

I lived away from Youngstown for a long time, so there's an undeniable hole in my local knowledge, but even on this board, there aren't very many threads about her, much less about her being a product of the city. Is there anyone else who didn't know this or am I just 2000 and late?

Valor Energy, an automobile transaction company pursuing a transformation into digital infrastructure, has purchased an 18-megawatt computing facility in Youngstown for a possible AI data center project.
Valor Energy purchased the 30,888-square-foot facility at 1911 Logan Avenue at the intersection with Halleck Street for $3.6 million.
The company plans to turn the existing site into an AI data center. Additional design, construction equipment and permitting work are required to execute this plan.
Valor says that by acquiring an existing facility rather than undeveloped land, this could shorten the timeframe for the project’s completion.

This might be a long shot, but we figured Reddit might know something we don't!
My husband and I are on a mission to purchase an existing campground or find enough land to build one somewhere in Northeast Ohio.
This isn't just a hypothetical dream. We're actively looking for property and exploring opportunities to make this a reality.
The goal is to create a campground where people can genuinely disconnect, spend time outdoors, and make memories with family and friends.
We've been searching through traditional real estate listings, but we know that some of the best opportunities never make it onto those websites.
So we're turning to the people who actually know the area.
A few things we'd love to know:
We're taking the business side seriously, including understanding what it takes to develop and operate a campground. We also know we have a lot to learn.
We made this short video to explain what we're trying to accomplish.
We're calling the journey Finding Camp Perfect, and we're sharing the process as we go, including the challenges and mistakes.
If you have a lead, advice, or even a cautionary tale from someone who's done something similar, we'd love to hear it.
Thanks for reading, and hopefully we'll have a campground to welcome you to someday!

I pop into Tangiers in Struthers from time to time. I have a few friends that live near there. My question is, why do the bartenders hate their jobs?? Literally the worst. If you aren’t a regular, good luck getting a drink. And to order food??? Give it a try if you got nowhere to be that day.
That’s it. That’s my question.

I recently created a Facebook group called Finding Your People – On the Spectrum Social Club | NE Ohio & Western PA for autistic adults ages 18–35.
Someone I know and love is on the spectrum, and I've seen firsthand how challenging it can be to meet new people and build friendships, especially as an adult. That's what inspired me to create this group! 💚
My hope is to bring together adults on the spectrum who share similar interests and want to make friends, whether it's gaming, chatting online, going to the movies, grabbing dinner, or planning group outings.
This isn't a traditional support group. It's a place to socialize, have fun, and build genuine friendships!
If you know someone who might benefit from this group, please encourage them to join or share this post to help spread the word!

I’m trying to figure out what this siren is. I heard it for the first time about three days ago at around 4:00 AM, and then heard the exact same sound again tonight at around 1:30 AM. I’ve never heard this particular siren before, and I’m not sure if it’s coming from a vehicle or some kind of city siren. My dad thought it might possibly be something from the prison or maybe a tornado/emergency siren, but we’re not sure. I’m posting the recording in case anyone recognizes the sound or knows what uses this type of siren in the area.

Local TV (WFMJ 21 News) reported that roughly a quarter of the seats were tarped off, and only about two-thirds of the rest ever filled. Two-thirds of three-quarters is half.
For scale, the Covelli Centre seats about 5,700 for hockey. Even the GOP judge candidate they interviewed said turnout "could have been a little better."
We were out front with about 500 protesters, and didn't see many people walking in. The clip confirms what we suspected.
Guessing the ketchup was flying somewhere on Air Force One later that night, and the Human Binky had her work cut out for her cleaning up the other mess.
Trump isn't on the ballot in November, but Trumpism sure is. Early voting in Ohio is open now through November 1st. Vote early and in person if you can, and bring a friend or family member. The sooner the better, because anything can happen: illness, car trouble, a family emergency, or this administration pulling a fast one on DEMOCRACY.
Ohio - show up, vote these mfrs out for good!
