Addon Release / Update [Forever] HealKit - click-to-heal party and raid frames that match the Forever UI

Hey all! I've played WoW since vanilla, mostly up to Wrath, then came back for Classic in 2019, and Forever is the most excited I've been about the game in years. I've also worked as a developer focused on UI/UX for 15 years, so I care a lot about how an interface looks and feels. In the WoW Forever beta, the party and raid frames were the one thing that bugged me: they don't match the rest of the Forever UI, Blizzard's click-casting wasn't really intuitive to set up, and the addons I tried had way too many settings and looked bolted on instead of part of the game. So I spent the last week building my own: HealKit.

The look: - party and raid frames (up to 40) built from Blizzard's own art, with a bronze rim that even Blizzard's raid frames don't have, so they actually match the Forever UI - incoming heals, shields, overheal, dispellable debuffs with a colored glow, aggro and your HoTs, all shown on your frames and working in combat - a live preview (solo, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 40 players) while you set it up, so you see every change right away - hides Blizzard's party and raid frames if you want

The healing: - your heals are already on your mouse buttons when you log in (priest, paladin, druid, shaman), so you just click a frame. They update as you level and learn new spells - pick any rank for each click, or "Highest rank" to always use your best, so downranking works the classic way - mouseover healing with the wheel or keys, and a Quick Buff button that casts the next missing buff on the right person (any class that buffs can use it, even without the frames) - your mana: the heal's cost shows on your bar while you cast, and an optional five-second rule indicator tells you when your regen is back

It's my first addon, and I'm releasing it now because the beta ends on the 21st. I'd love to fix whatever you find before launch. Bugs, ideas, "this felt weird", all welcome here or in the CurseForge comments.

Hope everyone's as excited as I am for launch, see you in game!

Big yes from me too! I've been trying to play on controller, and I'm terrible at it lol, just tried questing a bit only for now. I'm going to run some dungeons on controller next week to see what Blizzard's UI already gives us and what this addon could add. Do you play fully on controller?

2

u/sullimander 6d ago

I’d love to see this too. I’ve been playing beta purely on controller, but healing intimidates me with a controller so haven’t tried yet. Questing, DPS, and tanking all work well, but not sure about heals.

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Yeah I actually have no idea how Blizzard set up healing on controller currently or group member targeting in general, and I'm not even sure what would be the best way to do it either. I heard some people on retail heal and even raid on controller with an addon though, curious how they do it. Want to try next week

2

u/mhmyfayre 6d ago

I have healed with controller in dungeons, very easy. I never tried raids or bgs. For dungeons i just set the 4 arrow keys to each select one of the party members (i dont remember what key i set for me). Was very chill to heal that way

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

That's smart! Makes me want to try already but I know I will just stay up the whole night if I tunnel into it lol

2

u/MrBaldhealer 7d ago

I like Restro Druid, and sometimes its hard to track how much my HoTs will heal and sometimes i overheal. is it possible to add an option to show pending HoT healing?

3

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

Good idea yeah, I main priest so I have the same issue with renew. The tricky part is making it look different from incoming heals and shields on the bar, and I don't want to make it too busy if you have an incoming heal + shield + renew, but I'll try something this afternoon. For now your HoTs just show in the corner of the frame with the time they have left.

2

u/MrBaldhealer 7d ago

I appreciate you taking a shot at this feature nonetheless. will definitely download this and try it out next time i heal

2

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

Just shipped it and it got approved by Curse! Update the addon and your hots now show on the bar as a green segment fading after the incoming heal. Rejuvenation/renew works great, but I only started my druid yesterday to test the class and he's only level 6 lol, so I couldn't try regrowth yet. If you give it a go let me know, I will go level my druid now :D

2

u/MrBaldhealer 7d ago

Sweet! testing it out now!

2

u/MrBaldhealer 7d ago

I was dueling a hunter as a resto druid, and the HoT indicator disappeared after I took damage. It could no longer predict the healing I was going to receive until i applied a new HoT. I’m not sure why it happened. It seems to work okay in dungeons, though I’ve noticed a few instances where the same thing happened.

LOVE this addon and will 100% be using it for healing moving forward, I can use HoTs SO much easier...

Would also like to have an option to apply thorns to entire party and not just tank/myself. Sometimes theres no tanks in my party

Thank you!

2

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Just pushed an update! I made the HoTs on the bar a lot more reliable, so let me know if they still vanish for you. And on the Buffs tab you can now pick who gets thorns: only you, tanks, or everyone. Pets have their own frames now as well!

1

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

Oh interesting, were you in a party with the hunter when it happened? I think I know what's causing it, looking at it now

And yeah good point on thorns, I'll add that

2

u/Adnaoc 7d ago

Exactly what I was lookg for. Clean and nice! I will test it . Thank you!

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Thanks! Let me know how it goes!

2

u/EdgarFigueiras 7d ago

I was actually looking for something like this.

Is it possible to heal without the party frames? Like for example if I'm solo and just to heal myself clicking on my portrait or a random player in need passing by in the road

1

u/fredspipa 6d ago

If you use the built-in click-casting instead of the addon's, you can use it on any unit frame or portrait.

0

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

Yes and no, actually that's the way I play myself, I like to see my own frame in HealKit and heal from there and that's the default, but no you can't click on the portrait directly, and players passing by won't show up in HealKit either

2

u/trixilly 7d ago

you can actually if you set up blizzards native click casting since they ported over the Midnight UI - this is actually my biggest problem with the native click casting is that it works on all unit frames including the player and target with no way to set it to only raid/party frames. Where with something like clique or your addon you can bind right mouse button to a heal for party/raid frames but still have it do context menu on the player frame so you can leave parties etc.

1

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

To be fair I actually didn't even know about that with the native click casting thank you for the comment!

2

u/Mainstreamk2 7d ago

I personally use mouse over heal macros when healing. I keep the enemy targeted and mouse over my raid frames to heal. This is definitely cool though.

1

u/fredspipa 6d ago

With click-casting you can still have the enemy targeted, it doesn't change target. I do a combination of mouseover and a couple of click heals, it's kind of nice being able to do all your healing with the mouse and save the keyboard for everything else. Shift+LMB = cheap heal, CTRL+LMB = chain heal, Shift+RMB = fast heal, CTRL+RMB = huge heal

0

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

Had a friend who asked for it the other day and I added it to HealKit as well, if you click on "Keys" in your healing tab (see second screenshot), you can bind any key in there or even the scroll wheel to be able to do exactly that without needing macros and it would work when you hover the frame

2

u/Quackthulu 7d ago

So this is basically healbot where it supplies it's own UI and keybinds for mouse over healing yeah? Looks good. Might try it out.

1

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

Yes that's a good summary haha, just more integrated into the Forever UI, with default keybinds already set up and easy to change depending on the playstyle

2

u/bernjc3 7d ago

This great and is definitely on my list to try. I use the in-game click casting but I agree it's a pain in the ass. Any reason why there's a limit on 4 keys? I typically use left and right click, middle mouse, mouse 4 & 5.

2

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

All of them work actually, by default the interface only shows the main ones, but if you click on the "Keys" button you can set up Mouse 4 and 5, the scroll wheel, and any key you want

2

u/Rimefeathers 7d ago

Ooh nice! The official ones don't allow binding to the scroll wheel up/ down + modifiers, that was my biggest deal breaker. I use a lot of those combos on my druid

1

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

Yep wheel up/down works with shift, ctrl, alt, and even cmd for people on a mac lol

2

u/Odd_Common_452 7d ago

God I hate these addons, always the green parsing healers that use this stuff

2

u/Motor_Cranberry9417 6d ago

Top 5 healer since TBC, I’ve used something very similar for all my hours in WoW classic

1

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

No one died in my RFC this morning, that's a win lol

1

u/santc 6d ago

And what do the sweaty parse healers use?

1

u/7thpixel 6d ago

the trick is to let them almost die so you can heal more lol

2

u/DogDadForLife97 6d ago

My top use case is for buffs / dispels / etc etc.

So even if I’m not a healer, having a quick shortcut for a shift click on a low health healer’s raid frame for a blessing of protecting is clutch.

Any ui that’s better than healbot would be amazing.

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Yeah I'm the same, even when I'm playing a tank I like to keep an eye on everyone and use raid frames or when playing any class that can dispel.

Blessing of Protection is already in there. It's shift+right click by default, but you can change that. You can put any spell pretty much anywhere, so you can just set up your buffs and dispels the way you want on any class. For all the pal blessings there are some defaults too depending on the class.

Let me know what you think! My paladin is only level 12, so if you see any issues on a higher-level spell let me know!

2

u/echonomics77 6d ago

Looks great, since I will be rolling a priest most likely I might give it a try (although I have been healing with mouseover and keyboard for the last years). Is there an option to increase /change the highlight function if you hover over a frame? I used SUI in the past and it had a highlight border, which was so useful especially with raid healing, saves a minimal amount of reaction time. I see in your clip you already have a highlight hover implemented so that's great

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Not yet, the hover highlight is there but there's no option to make it stronger. Good idea though, a clearer border would help in raids that's noted on my little gnomish clipboard! And yeah you can already set up everything with mouseover and keyboard keys easily and keep their normal job everywhere else

2

u/redrider578 6d ago

Can this be setup for non-healing classes to De-Curse people for example?

I currently use the addon Healbot as a mage which makes their frame flash when they get cursed, and then i can just click on it to cast remove curse automatically.

I also set it up to monitor for any party members missing Arcane Intellect, and it makes their frame flash a different color when <2 minutes of arcane intellect remains/is missing, and I can just click on the frame to cast Arcane Intellect on them.

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Yes! Any class can use it. You can put remove curse on a click and the frame glows when someone has a curse you can remove. For arcane intellect it's even easier, the quick buff button shows who needs it next and one click casts it on them, no need to click each frame. It also looks out for buffs about to run out, 5 min before by default but you can set it to 2 min in the buffs tab

2

u/redrider578 4d ago

Trying it out today, it really is nice! I have one request. can you make it so I have the option for the Quick Buff button to appear ABOVE the frame, not below?

So that way I can keep the frames snug against my action bars. and have the buff button appear above the players.

1

u/OzwaldTinker 4d ago

Glad you like it! You can already do that from the Layout tab, set Frames grow to "Up and right" (or "Up and left"). The frames then grow up from the Move bar, so they stay snug against your action bars, and the Quick Buff button sits above them.

Btw from tomorrow's update that tab will called Frames since I have renamed it in the next patch, let me know if that works and if not reply here with a new screenshot and I will see what I can do!

2

u/p0ntsNL 6d ago

It needs missing buffs too! Check who is missing buff and ability to rebuff on click.

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

It does! Missing buffs show as small icons on the frames, and the quick buff button casts the next one on whoever needs it, let me know when you try it

2

u/DevLink89 6d ago

Isn’t this already in the game? Genuine question bc it is in retail and I was under the impression we would have the same options.

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Yeah you can do all of that already in Forever with Blizzard's click casting, it's just a bit tricky to set up in the advanced settings, HealKit just makes that part simpler. The other reason I made it is that forever's raid frames are still the modern retail ones, and I wanted raid frames that actually look like forever. Hopefully Blizzard updates them at some point!

2

u/RottenH20 6d ago

Off topic. Is that a gnome model you can make in forever? Never seen that hair before.

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Yes! It's one of the new hairstyles in forever, I think it's their classic style take on a retail one. Love it, best haircut my gnome ever had lol

2

u/ScaredCaterpillar136 6d ago edited 6d ago

Hey, I love a lot of things about this add-on. Few things I would love to see on this.

-Ability to map a macro to the click slots instead of just spells. Ex: I have a Natures swiftness, trinket, big heal macro that I would love to have on a click slot.

-Ability to have a different layout configuration for 5/10/20/40 sized groups/raids. Like larger group frames in a group of 5 and smaller ones in a 40 etc.

-Ability to add pets to the party and raid frames

I think that is really what is missing and it would be golden!

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Thank you for your comment! Pets now have their own frames in today's update - release the hounds! Macros and a different layout per group size are noted, a few people asked for those too, I'll let you know when I release them

2

u/ScaredCaterpillar136 6d ago

Thanks! These frames are really great btw. The look to them really do it. Looking forward to the addition of macros being able to be used as well as adjustable frame setting based on group/raid size.

2

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Thanks I'm really glad you like the look! The servers went down while I was testing new frame settings haha, I'll let you know when this is out

1

u/OzwaldTinker 4d ago

Hey btw per group size is in 0.60.0 now, Frames tab > Per group size 🎉

2

u/Curious_Cucumber_803 6d ago

Crazy! Good work! Pls delete the gnome!

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Never! We finally learned to heal and be useful in society :D

2

u/DAYMAN3737 6d ago

Is there scroll wheel support as a keybind? The biggest issue I have with base game click casting is no support for scroll wheel healbinds. I didn't see scroll wheel as an option in your screenshots

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Yes! It's just hidden by default to keep things simple, click Keys on the healing tab and turn on wheel up and wheel down. Then you can put a heal on each, with shift, ctrl and alt too, and they cast on the frame under your cursor

2

u/Holiday_Armadillo78 6d ago edited 6d ago

This is great. But I'd like to see the Group Arrangement be set individually by the group size. For example, for a 5-man "side-by-side, people stacked" fits better but for 40-man, "people stacked, side-by-side" fits better.

Also, can you detach the quick buff button from the group frames? It leaves it in an awkward place on the screen when not in a group.

2

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Thanks! Yes I am going to work on arrangements and layouts next and that's a good point for quick buff that I didn't think about, I'll look into letting you move it on its own

2

u/Holiday_Armadillo78 6d ago

Awesome, thank you!

2

u/OzwaldTinker 4d ago

Layouts per group size are out in 0.60.0 🎉 so side by side for 5 and stacked for 40 works now (Frames tab > Per group size)

2

u/darkrhin0 6d ago

Haven't been a healer in years, but this reminds me of Grid + Clique combined. I dig it!

2

u/Paddy_Tanninger 6d ago

Looks cool I'll check this out

2

u/Corvenos 6d ago

will the mouse bound spells only work on the addon frame? example excludes target and player frame.

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Yes only on HealKit's own frames. Your own frame shows by default even solo so you can always heal yourself with your clicks. In the future I'd like to add a HealKit frame for your target too since a couple of people asked for it

2

u/Corvenos 6d ago

thats perfect i like it contained to the addon frame. if you do make it effect other frames maybe a option to enable/disable it.

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Thanks! Yeah I want it to stay on HealKit's own frames to not mess around with Blizzard UI or other addons in general, if I add a target frame it'll be a HealKit one too

2

u/Valaric_r 6d ago

I will try it out tonight, Vuhdu does everything I want but the menu is overly complex for setting up different looks depending on if playing solo, in a party or in a raid….. so if you can make that easier I will for sure make the switch!

2

u/Valaric_r 5d ago

I like how clean and simple it is, for my use, I would want the ability to add extra panels.

IE
Solo: I have a panel for myself, my pet and my target. Target so I can heal or buff people in open world as I am running by. Personally I keep each of those in their own panel so they are by my standard frames.
Party: removes my personal and pet frames and replaces with frames for my party and pets and keeps target frame
Raid: same as party but frames are smaller to take up less room, still keeps target more so for removing buffs from bosses.

On others notes, I don’t think needing to see what the HoT will heal is important as long as you can see the remaining time of your HoTs.

2

u/OzwaldTinker 4d ago

Per group size is out in 0.60.0: Solo, Party and Raid each get their own size, position and arrangement. The target frame isn't in yet, still on my list!

2

u/Valaric_r 4d ago

Nice will check it out tonight

2

u/Valaric_r 3d ago

One thing I would suggest adding for the raid frames is an option to add multiple rows for groups.

So the ability to look like

G1 G2 G3 G4
G5 G6 G7 G8

Or

G1 G3 G5 G7
G2 G4 G6 G8

Another common setup I see people use

G1 G2
G3 G4
G5 G6
G7 G8

1

u/OzwaldTinker 3d ago

Heya! Target frame is in today's update! You can go to Frames tab > Show your target, and you can give it its own spot with its own Move bar so it sits by your standard frames like you wanted. For now only for friendly targets to keep it simple but I might include hostile for your use case in the future along with the raid frames setup you mentioned here, that's a good idea!

1

u/OzwaldTinker 5d ago

Thanks a lot! Different setups per group size is what I'm working on next, smaller frames in raids included, and a target frame right after. I'll ping you here when they're out!

I'm also looking into separate panels for your frame, your pet and your target, so you can place them wherever you want.

For hots, they already show as icons on the frame with their timer. I'll keep your feedback in mind for the healing left on the bar, I want to test it more myself in dungeons and see how useful it really is as well

2

u/Alterance 5d ago edited 5d ago

Hi, I love what you've created. I've always used something like this during classic or wotlk if a developer showed love for continuous support. Thus far in classic a notable addon that came close to this was "ClassicHealPrediction". If you have used it, then you know how valuable it was - from incoming heals of different classes (HoTs and Heals) to dispellable debuffs, mini HoT indicators, shielding amounts, Power Infusion indicatiors, incoming damage prediction and thesholds, OOM prediction and so much more... perhaps you've used it yourself?

I also like the simple, Forever Blizzard-like stlye party/raidframes so something that works with them or looks similar is amazing.

I am playing a holy priest as a main and find easiest and quickest way to play with mouseover spellcasting with spells bound to keyboard numbers and this addon, if supported will be an instant install upon launch.

Does the addon allow for mouseover spellcasting with bound spells to keyboard buttons or is using a mouse wheel/buttons a must?

1

u/OzwaldTinker 5d ago

Thanks a lot! Yes, keyboard keys work on mouseover: on the Healing tab, open Keys, pick "Add a key" and press like 1 or 2. It will get its own column, with shift, ctrl and alt too, and it casts on the frame under your cursor while keeping its normal job everywhere else.

I haven't used that one myself, but incoming heals, HoTs, shields and dispellable debuffs are all on the frames already. Hope it works well for your priest (and that you're a gnome too lol 😎)

2

u/Xky11 4d ago

u/OzwaldTinker 4d ago

Thank you, let me know if anything is missing!

1

u/Allie-ooops 11h ago

hello! I've been liking this addon a lot however in battlegrounds it doesnt properly buff/display the raid. is there a fix for this? I have to reload to fix it everytime

1

u/wewerecreaturres 7d ago

Why not just click the actual frames?

5

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

You can! Blizzard has click-casting built in, it's just not very intuitive to set up in some advanced menu. This just simplifies that setup and matches the Forever look.

1

u/wewerecreaturres 7d ago

I guess what I was asking was why does your addon need new frames, especially just to match the existing ones?

1

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

Ah yeah got it, to be fair at first, I tried to make it work with the Blizzard raid frames (portrait is actually ok), but there are a few things they can't do.

The more I used them in dungeons, the more I wanted out of them, like seeing how much a heal will overheal or how much my HoTs still have to heal, and they weren't easily customizable the way I wanted. They also still look more like retail raid frames for now (hope they update them!)

1

u/UnmonitoredGrownup 7d ago

Clique and Vuhdo isnt doing the work already ?

5

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

Yeah, they both do that! I actually used them for years, but the setup got to be a lot for me since I'm more casual, so I wanted something simpler that looks like part of the game. Still love them both.

1

u/Brilliant_Yak_5613 7d ago

Always used healbot, but this looks a lot smoother!

1

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

Thanks! I also used it for a while. Would love to hear how it compares once you've healed with it, especially anything you miss from your old setup.

1

u/sabe1234 7d ago

Don’t get it tbh. The forever group frames look exactly the same like your first gif and clique is doing all this with a really easy setup.

1

u/Lance2409 7d ago

Wait is click binding that Blizz made already not included in Forever?

1

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

It's actually already in retail and also in forever in the advanced settings. This addon makes it just a bit more user-friendly to set up

1

u/Lance2409 7d ago

Ahhh cool cool, yes I am a religious user of click binding so I may have to give this a try addon in Forever, thanks for the reply!

1

u/suffelix 7d ago

This looks pretty sweet for someone who wants to play with mostly default UI technically and aestethically. Not for me though as I use a heavily "modernized" UI, but I can see the appeal if one prefers more Blizzard-esque UI!

2

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

Thanks! That's exactly my case

1

u/RKD9005 7d ago

Hey man, looks nice. However, what is the difference with healbot other than the UI ?

1

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

Thanks! The last time I used it was a long time ago, but this addon is mostly made to look like part of the Forever UI and stay simple with good defaults to easily get started

1

u/leeuw1234 7d ago

So this is basically just Clique?

1

u/GasttrosTheSecond 7d ago

Hello!, tyvm for sharing your addon!, i noob question (im new), that thing that show in the Health Bar how much the spell its gonna heal its a natural forever thing, or its your addon doing?

1

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

That's already in Forever (and retail I think?). Blizzard's frames show it too. HealKit just shows the same thing on its own frames

1

u/GasttrosTheSecond 7d ago

Ty for your answer!

1

u/seizure507 7d ago

Healbot is that you?

So its Clique with preset spells

1

u/NondeterministicTM 6d ago

I think blizzard should remove addon support =)

1

u/Warmongar 6d ago

I'm waiting for someone to use AI to make an addon that copies the OG healbot.

1

u/plants4life262 6d ago

Is vuhdo coming to forever?

1

u/landyc 6d ago

This is baseline functionality in wow forever though

1

u/slothson 6d ago

I thought this was retail for a sec.

1

u/binspolicy 6d ago

Sure someone gonna make and addon that plays your character for you so you can just go about your life. I can’t believe people are this ignorant they don’t want to actually learn the intricacies of healing (or tanking or even dpsing) themselves and the satisfaction that comes with it.

1

u/Heheonil 6d ago

So. Clique? Or in game mouse over casting? :D

1

u/GusRacoon 5d ago

Is it only me or are you also getting a million of LUA-errors at the moment? Can't use it that way, but I like the simplicity of it a lot

1

u/skoold1 5d ago

Funny how you can make a clicker specific addon

1

u/Zankokunatenshi-sama 3d ago

Vuhdo, is that you?

1

u/OzwaldTinker 3d ago

Haha same idea for sure, I healed with it for years! HealKit is my take on it for Forever with a much simpler setup (your heals are already on your clicks when you log in), it's also a lot lighter on memory and CPU, and the frames match the new bronze UI. Lmk what you think if you give it a try!

I hate the vibe coded nature of all these addons lately but this one peaked my interest.

4

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

I agree lots of software in general is vibe coded these days. I have been an engineer for a while, usually on web, and this let me learn and finally build my own addon for my favorite game next to my full-time job after years of wanting to. No slop here, I really do care about the code and UX

-1

u/GoomingGoomba 7d ago

Aayy my brother in christ. If there really is no AI here then hats off to you. Amazing work and a really cool addon I will probably end up trying out

2

u/OzwaldTinker 7d ago

Thanks! To be clear AI helped, but I review everything and this is days of work and not a "hey claude, build me a click-to-heal addon, no mistakes" 😄

4

u/NewSignificance7599 7d ago

I'd bet every addon even things like DBM and baggon use Ai in the development process at this point. It's just a tool for software engineers now.

Pros

  • Setting up spells is much faster here
  • You can also use it solo
  • Buffs to watch
  • Not overloaded with settings

Cons:

  • The aggro glow is too hard to see and there are no customization options. I'd personally prefer a simple white border, but I guess that's a matter of taste.
- Buffs to watch: For example, I only want to see “Thorns” on the tank, not on everyone couldnt test it yet but the description says it only is for tanks in a group
  • I really miss being able to see missing HP as a number because that determines which spell I use

Nice to have:

  • Automatically use trinkets
- Options to increase the transparency of the “out of range” indicator

Bugs:

  • Looks like the first setup is not using max rank spells. It's rank 3 for healing touch not rank 5 and rank 3 for regrwoth not rank 4

Does it support pets? Would be important. Can't test that right now. Will update this with more testing.

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Thanks a lot for testing and the detailed feedback, that helps a ton!

- The aggro glow has a slider on the display tab. If it's still too faded even at 100% let me know, I can change that

- For thorns, someone else here asked about the same thing and it's in the next build already, I have a release scheduled tomorrow that will let you choose who gets it: only you, tanks, or everyone

- Missing HP as a number is a good idea, the first time I looked into it it was quite tricky on Forever, but I can look again tomorrow. For now there's just a health % option on the display tab

- For out of range, there's an opacity slider on the layout tab, lower is fainter. If it's not enough even at the lowest, let me know

- You can untick Omen of Clarity in Buffs to watch if you don't want the reminder, unless there's a bug and it was asking you to buff others with it? (My druid doesn't have it yet, but I main priest and like tracking my Inner Fire so I never forget it, that's why it's like this by default)

- Pets yes! That's coming in tomorrow's update, someone on CurseForge asked for it as well. I'll let you know when it's out, probably early in the day

Noted for the trinkets too, I will look into it, would it be to auto use a trinket when available when doing a certain heal, or something to track as available in general?

1

u/StunningAudience2987 6d ago

You could argue that you should use trinkets depending on the situation, but I'm lazy and old, so I just want them to always be on cooldown and use automatically :D Of course, having the option to enable this for trinket 1 and/or 2 would still be nice, shouldnt be forced.

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Haha I'm also lazy and old so we match there lol. Thanks for the input, I will check it out!

Also saw your edit, Healing Touch rank 3 on ctrl + middle click is on purpose, I set it up with downranking in mind as a cheaper efficient heal (You should have by default a HT max rank bound on middle click too), but maybe it's not the best choice at every level.

For regrowth that might be a bug, I'll look into it. What level is your druid?

And noted for the white border too from your edit, that's a good idea

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Update is out! You can now pick who gets thorns on the Buffs tab, and pets have their own frames too now

2

u/StunningAudience2987 6d ago

Thanks—since the add-on is still pretty straightforward, I just swapped out the aggro borders myself and had it show me the missing HP :D

Oh, and by the way, cyrillic characters aren't supported. There might be other issues as well.

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Nice, glad it was easy to change! I'm adding missing HP as an option. And thanks for the cyrillic report, I'll fix that

1

u/OzwaldTinker 5d ago

Heya, update is out! Missing health is in now (Display tab > Health text > Missing health, like your -354) and cyrillic names show on the frames too. Thanks for both reports!

2

u/StunningAudience2987 4d ago

Thanks for that gj. I'm not the biggest fan of the new borders around everything. It might be wasting a little too much space, especially in 40-player raids.

1

u/OzwaldTinker 4d ago

Thanks! You're the second person to bring this up, I am going to offer a borderless option, making the trim slider will go all the way to off and the bars will fill the frame. I will keep you in touch when I get to it!

1

u/OzwaldTinker 3d ago

And it's out on the new build in Curse! In the frames tab, slide Bronze trim all the way to Off and you get a borderless look with the bars filling the frame. Then you can set Space between frames at 0 and they would be next to each others ready for Onyxia haha

1

u/OzwaldTinker 2d ago

Hey! Wanted to let you know that I haven't done the trinket option itself yet (still on my list), but today's update lets you put your own macros on a click, so something like "/use 13" then "/cast Greater Heal" already does it: the trinket fires and the heal goes to the player you click, let me know if you try it!

1

u/Mattallica64 6d ago

Is it possible to use a raza naga 12 side button mmo mouse with this add-on? I would like to use the 1-12 to use heal ability over the frames and the same 1-12 to use damaging abilities as well. It used to be possible in vuhdo. For example on paladin 1 over frame holy light 1 over enemy seal.

2

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Not all 12 yet unfortunately, it's up to 4 extra keys for now, mostly a UI thing, I didn't want the keys menu to get too cluttered. Those 4 work exactly the way you describe though, they cast your heal while you're over a frame and keep their normal job everywhere else, so 1 can be holy light on a frame and your seal on an enemy. I don't have a naga (nor the budget for it lol), so if you could try a few of the side buttons (like 1, 8 and 12) and let me know if they work, that would really help! I'll look into a way to fit all 12

2

u/Mattallica64 5d ago

Hi thanks I will give it a try tonight and report back. I will definitely be using it if it has this functionality. Thanks

1

u/OzwaldTinker 3d ago

Hello! Just released a new build and today's update takes up to 12 keys, so the whole Naga side panel fits now! Keys > Add a key and press each button. Let me know if any of them don't register since I don't have one I couldn't test properly, but should be good!

Do people just not enjoy playing the game?

1

u/Frozazko 7d ago

More than you

-6

u/Snorlax_king79 7d ago

Hey chatbbl can you make me an addon that plays the game for me

-1

u/Sindowill 7d ago

used AI to generate the post and all the comments too huh.
Really makes me doubt your ability to maintain this addon.

Yawn, throw this one in the AI pile with the rest of them.

1

u/Frozazko 7d ago

You can always use your own AI to fix addons instead of waiting for someone else to fix it with their own AI

0

u/Iron_Atlas 6d ago

Making a comment so I can find this tomorrow when I'm on my computer, looks great!

1

u/OzwaldTinker 6d ago

Pinging you already that way you see my message tomorrow :D Thanks!

0

u/Gexm13 6d ago

That is op as fuck. This should be an addon.

-4

u/acrazyguy 7d ago

Oh, you only used AI to write the code, the most important component when it comes to functionality. And you did it to make a copy of an addon that already exists. Daring today, aren't we? The first time the game gets an update that messes with addons, this will break and you'll have no idea how to fix it. Why would anyone want to use this?

-8

u/JewAgenda 7d ago

thanks claude

-9

u/Aknathos 7d ago

Nice idea and addon... But omg that make the game so easy

3

u/Lifeloverme 7d ago

there is "click casting" in the wow (retail) options

there are also mouseover macros

you dont need addons for this functionality

1

u/Impostor1089 7d ago

Blizzard already did that.
