Discussion Forever world building

Something that always bothered me about WoW is it was the perfect chance for a world building and expanding the world and the factions, however because they wanted to release the game with both continents they ended up cutting so much like the world feel smaller than it should have been, but I don't think this is a mistake as the first release was very important and outside of lore, from marketing and gameplay it was the best decision.

However forever have the time to expand the world building even with some limitations.

Like I always want to see who the chieftains of the clans under Thrall Horde, why not explore the other clans much better and see how their new life in Kalimdor is, what their role in the horde and their culture?

The night elves could use similar expansion as they lived in the north of Kalimdor for centuries and we could see different cities lead by different people with unique culture and way of life maybe like how the wardens feel different from the others.

I love what they did with the brotherhood of the horse so far and I want to see more like this to the kingdom of Stormwind like more royal houses lead by different lords in different locations, but most importantly I want to see the other kingdoms expanded like Stromgard, Dalaran, Gilneas and Alterac with maybe more different groups of survivors in Lordaeron and maybe Kul'Tiras if we get there someday?

Overall to not keel yapping, I want to see more focus on grounded politics and simple adventures were they explore how the factions work and what the internal struggles of the common people.

What style of world building you want to see in forever?

This is more or less exactly what they're doing. My perspective is only Alliance, but through the beta there is a clear and obvious intent to flesh out the world and fill in the gaps. There is, also, a strong desire not to overload classic zones/experiences with these additions. The additions to the Defias questline, f'ex, are seamless but squarely address what were previously lingering threads. Wetlands and the Excavation Site dungeon add a lot of flavour to the zone, finish off those lingering questlines as well as providing future breadcrumbs for, say, Uldaman and that overarching story.

Then you just gotta look at, say, Riverlands where we see very old school factions in the flesh, as well as providing us a significant presence of Twilight cultists that I don't think actually appear anywhere in the classic experience outside of dungeons and Sithilus.

They're doing a really good job.

I'm 100% with you, these are a lot more interesting than just another worlending campaign
