Fuck everyone who voted for these clowns.

u/elliethestaffy 13h ago

And the ones that did not bother to vote

149

u/Ozzel 13h ago

Don’t forget the ones who voted third party. Alright alright alright!

102

u/GGme 13h ago

Jill Stein dines with Putin as well. There's a reason she runs. I wonder how big of a reason she gets from Russia. Is it a lump sum every four years, is it dependant on the outcome of the election, is it promises of future riches? She's not getting younger.

3

u/dolaction 8h ago

I'd like to see the amount her internet traffic dipped when when Ukraine bombed the Yandex data centers

13

u/Raoul_Duke9 13h ago

I actually blame the third partiers most. If they were informed enough to research third parties they should have been smart enough to see what the stakes were.

22

u/BrotherEstapol 12h ago

Nah, between the Democrats, the Republicans, and "Didn't vote", "Didn't vote" was a larger portion of the voting population at the last election. I don't think 3rd party voters even come close to the "Didn't vote" 3rd.

4

u/GodOfDarkLaughter 11h ago

At best they're misguided idealists. I can't hate that. I can discourage them from repeating that mistake, though. I'm sorry but we're gonna need to get our hands dirty here. There's no optimal outcome, really; we're working in best realistic scenario mode.

5

u/BrotherEstapol 11h ago

To an extent I can actually appreciate the take of not wanting to vote because you don't feel informed enough to make a choice...but like, make an attempt to inform yourself then? Also to be fair, I'm sure there's a number of registered voters who couldn't vote for whatever reason, but it's hard to know the breakdown of the "didn't vote" group.

We have compulsory voting in Australia, and if we didn't also have preferential(aka ranked choice) voting, I can't imagine some of the stupid results we'd get because of disengaged/uninformed voters.

u/eyebrows360 8h ago

At best they're misguided idealists. I can't hate that.

I can. Reality exists, and it isn't hard to observe.

Anyone voting for someone that obviously has no chance of victory is throwing away their vote and that means, just as it does for those that don't vote at all, they're perfectly happy with whichever of the candidates that're actually in with a shot, does go on to win.

This isn't hard to figure out.

The vote always has to go to "least bad" and that's the only way to nudge things over time to "policies I actually want".

14

u/Skrivus 12h ago

It's also telling that the 3rd parties do nothing to organize locally, and then pop up in the presidential election.

Lost the respect of all of Americas allies and now appearing on Russian tv to suck up Putin lol, America really voted in the most pathetic sycophants it could find

9

u/BroughtBagLunchSmart 12h ago

That was the goal. Russia and Israel benefit from an isolated USA that is hostile to Europe.

Right, he was appointed by the person people voted for, who has been protected from consequences by other traitors that people voted for

2

America didn’t vote in Witkoff. Half of the fucking imbeciles dismantling the country are all Trump and his handlers’ hand picks.

It's worth noting that his primary motivation appears to be securing business opportunities in Russia for himself and his associates, conditioned on a Ukrainian surrender.

85

u/JacobK101 13h ago

Wikitoff either 'makes it' with this deal and becomes to disgustingly rich to care about basically anything or is probably completely screwed
since if russia turns him down/isn't able to fufill the deal due to frozen assets he's out a lot of money he bet on this scheme and there's a good chance he's pinned by trump as the next fall guy for the regime, so no money, no prestige or power, and probably being harried by investigations and possible jail when the us government flips

So it's force a Ukrainian surrender or die for him, basically

I have a feeling he's gonna drop an ultimatium like "surrender now or we start supporting the russian war effort" because he is genuinely personally Fucked if he can't pull this together

18

u/BigBananaBerries 11h ago

It seems that ultimatum isn't on the table as old school GOP wouldn't buy it. Let's face it, Trump would've already did that if it was an option. They've been trying to slowly boil the frog to make out it's Ukraine that's unwilling to negotiate for peace to get the OG GOP onside but it's far too obvious it's Putin that's the problem, so nobody's buying it.

The irony is that if Putin could stop taking every opportunity to humiliate the US by bombing Ukraine right after Trump declares some progress, it might even have worked. Luckily, like Trump, they can't overlook an opportunity to portray themselves like a strongman bully. It's infantile stuff.

15

u/kytheon 13h ago

Witkoff is all in.

2

u/bkgn 7h ago

Witkoff is a notorious ass-kisser and is in a high position in the Trump regime in the first place because he's had his tongue up Trump's asshole for decades, he's worked for Trump since 1986.

18

From a historical perspective I think Trump will be the point at which America really started it's decline. There were already macro-economic cliffs ahead as spending and debt climbed and having a globally deployable military with 11 legally required aircraft carriers AND an aging population were never going to be sustainable long term.

I think there is austerity in our future and I think the people on the lower and middle rungs of the economic ladder will be harmed the worst. There are going to be a lot of boomers who die earlier than they should have of completely preventable causes while we "figure out healthcare" in DC.

In 50 years kids will be taught that Trump's presidencies marked the real start of the decline of the United States as a global hegimon.

13

u/Galaghan 9h ago

Forget about that 'in 50 years', we're already teaching that to our kids now.

At this point it's good that it won't. They have been sitting on their asses for the past 60 years or so ACTUALLY thinking they are better than the rest, when anyone with a pair of eyes could see the disillusion. So it's about time they realize it as well. I just hope they'll answer the wake up call.

18

u/smiteme 11h ago

The issue is the same ones who knew it wasn’t “the best” - are the same ones who oppose this shit and are embarrassed about it. The ones chanting “USA” and believing they’re the best are the same ones supporting it all

3

u/Omophorus 8h ago

Shame and hypocrisy are things to weaponize against others, and that's always been the conservative way.

The only time shame works on conservatives is when their own authority figures weaponize it against them to enforce compliance.

That's why there's an infuriating baseline level of shamelessness that only gets worse as conservatives accumulate power.

20

u/zombiejeesus 12h ago

Will the dems winning midterms do anything? I don't fully understand American politics but I just can't see anything down there stopping trump from doing what he wants.

8

u/o_MrBombastic_o 12h ago

They can't do anything to remove him they won't win by the 2/3 majority needed to do that and Republicans in congress will never side with them to do that. They can put up roadblocks to stop further damage and undo some of it. But thats it just try and keep things from getting worse which they've had no power to do and Republicans want to do

8

u/Leasir 11h ago

Republicans realized that no one pays attention anymore (or if they do, don't care), keep gas low, keep groceries low, and you can do whatever you want. We are only at the tip of the iceberg in the decline of democracy.

7

u/TickingTheMoments 6h ago

We are in the process of experiencing late stage capitalism. Those up in their high towers, see the writing on the wall and are trying to make sure that they seize power before it all comes crumbling down.

So, instead of Kellyanne Conway's "alternative facts", we are now blessed cursed with an "alternative dictionary"?

I checked my dictionary. "Humanitarian" doesn't say anything about a dictator that invades other countries.

24

u/JebryathHS 12h ago

Perhaps he thinks it's a synonym for cannibal.

10

u/subpoenaThis 12h ago

Clearly, vegetarians eat vegetables so humanitarians eat...humans?!

Or maybe just humanity.

6

u/theBoobMan 12h ago

Its bullshit all the way down.

3

u/LieutenantNitwit 9h ago

I don't think people give that whole "alternative facts" thing the gravitas it deserves. When I saw that happen live and the fact that she wasn't collared and thrown off whatever interview that was right then and there - that it was wholly acceptable to say something so egregious on TV...I knew then that all had been lost. That singular phrase that went unchecked was the harbinger of things to come.

19

u/MagicColourBRIGHT 12h ago

As a European; Where the fuck are the political fail safes?

13

u/Creoda 10h ago

When the President is ignoring the Constitution, the party controls the senate and congress and toady billionaires provide the bribes and the military leaders who might undertake action are removed and replaced by more toadies, fail-safes have failed.

6

u/Johnnygunnz 9h ago

Don't forget the stolen Supreme Court who has made him untouchable for anything done in an "official capacity as president."

3

u/nigel_tufnel_11 9h ago

And Trump controls pretty much all the enforcement mechanisms. Now that he's stocked them (DOJ, SEC, various departmental watchdog groups, etc.) with loyalists, they aren't investigating, regulating, or enforcing anything.

→ More replies (1)

12

u/Snitsie 10h ago

They've always been imaginary. The republicans have been abusing the system for literally decades without any punishment.

7

u/phatelectribe 10h ago

Sadly they were “a gentleman’s agreement” in essence, and Congress was supposed to push back on anything egregious. The founders never expected a president to be a foreign asset, not have Congress roll over to that.

Both those things didn’t matter to this admin and we learned the fail safes from the 1800’s aren’t up to it.

3

u/meesterdg 10h ago

The founders of the nation absolutely did consider that anyone, including the president, could be a foreign asset. That's why treason is written in. That's why checks and balances were written in. Those are fundamental things written in to the Constitution.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

3

u/Brick_Lab 9h ago

Yeah but turns out a persistent threat in the form of an organized and infiltrated political party has the power to seize all relevant branches at once if given enough time and opportunity. Trump stacked the supreme Court thanks to some shitty political manuevers from untimely deaths, refusals to retire, and straight up cheating the system with Mitch McConnell preventing Obama's appointment. Congress has proven weak to bribery and party over country, and Trump used a cult of personality to unify the Republicans more than ever to act as one and consolidate power. Project 2025 was the playbook they could all reference and get behind, and it apparently worked better than anything else to put them in lock step to topple the power structure.

Why they all CONTINUE to let this happen is pretty much just greed and cowardice at this point

3

u/phatelectribe 9h ago

They didn’t consider that both the Senate and Congress would be complicit, that was the theoretical check and balance that failed.

2

u/nigel_tufnel_11 9h ago

Yeah, they DID consider it. But they put too much trust in Congress to do what's right instead of do absolutely anything to hold onto power for one more term. That's where we're at. Impeachment is virtually impossible now, as are Constitutional amendments (the last one was ratified 34 years ago and took ~203 years since it was introduced).

2

u/mojomarc 10h ago

Time for a Constitutional Convention

2

u/MASSiVELYHungPeacock 9h ago

HEY AMERICA - REMEMBER WHEN RUSSIA WAS THE FUCKING ENEMY? REMEMBER "BETTER DEAD THAN RED"? REMEMBER RONNIE FUCKING REGAN???

15

u/vegetable_completed 11h ago

Russia isn’t communist anymore. It’s what Trump and the GOP want America to become: an authoritarian neoliberal oligarchy/kleptocracy that advances might-makes-right foreign policy as an extension of its neoliberal worldview.

4

u/JCDU 10h ago

OK but they are still an enemy who want to disrupt and even destroy the democratic west.

4

u/vegetable_completed 10h ago

Yes, but that’s not why right-wing politicians in America hated Russia. They viewed the Soviet Union as a political enemy that emboldened and assisted those who would challenge them both domestically and abroad. The Soviet Union no longer exists, and Russia is now a model of what the GOP want for America, so their disposition towards Russia is appropriately one of deference and admiration.

In the Trumpist geopolitical configuration, America controls North and South America as its sphere of influence, and Russia controls Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Countries like Ukraine that are willing to topple their own government in the pursuit of freedom and sovereignty are a problem for Putin AND Trump, so it makes sense that they would align on ensuring that Ukraine fails and cannot serve as inspiration for any other states or political movements within their perceived spheres of influence.

American here and it’s just disgusting what’s going on in my country but Trump is the symptom, not the real problem. The real problem are the uber wealthy that control everything including the media. They backed him, hid all his dirt just to get tax cuts and the ability to acquire more wealth than they can spend. They don’t want democracy and are dismantling it bit by bit. Trump’s a low cost way to keep the eyes off of them.

8

u/LtChicken 12h ago

If Trump is a symptom then the disease is not voting. Vote blue.

2

u/youtocin 10h ago

Yep, for the 2024 election only 73% of voting age citizens were registered to vote. Of those who were registered, 20 million did not vote. Including the non-registered citizens that number is about 89 million people who did not vote.

That kind of turnout is shameful.

It is remarkable to me how readily some grown men will debase themselves and grovel at the feet of power. It's a machiavelian approach to being a bitch toady that has occurred for generations but I will never understand.

Makes perfect sense when you know that their definition is “human” is “rich and powerful people”. The rest of us are cattle to them.

u/oldwestprospector 13h ago

Getting real sick of this shit, voted last week straight blue. Fuck these fascist cunts.

u/Saneless 12h ago

The only way I'd believe he was a "humanitarian" is that someone was trying to say, in a nice way, that he eats people

2

u/P4S5B60 12h ago

Must be Opposite Day right ?

2

u/Artistic-Mess-4643 12h ago

Trump and cronies continue to sell the american soul to its enemies.

2

u/AlienDickProbe 12h ago

Maybe he meant it like vegetarian. Like Putin is a humanitarian he eats people.

2

u/Tharos92 12h ago

War is peace

Freedom is slavery

Ignorance is strength

Mass murderer is humanitarian

2

u/spaceman757 12h ago

I recall all of the other humanitarians, like the Dali Lama, who were famously known to have people poisoned and thrown out windows.

If this statement holds any truth value, it could only be accurately assessed during brief periods between the leader's sanctioned murders.

2

u/RudegarWithFunnyHat 11h ago

2

u/KasiresLV 11h ago

3

u/Interesting-Ruin-743 11h ago

2

u/misdirected_asshole 11h ago

Just suck it already Steve. He doesnt need any more teasing.

2

u/MichaelTruly 10h ago

A humanitarian in the same way a vegetarian only eats vegetables

2

u/Bobu-sama 10h ago

Does that mean he eats humans?

2

u/Migleemo 10h ago

These traitors need to be put in front of a firing squad.

2

u/jaymp00nz 9h ago

The fact that he can get these words out his mouth without vomitting makes me think he would love to deepthroat Trump the stump and Putin. Sadly all of them suffer from inverted penis syndrome. Fuck all these fucking fuckers! Slava Ukraine!

2

u/quequotion 9h ago

Humanitarian...

Did he mean to say cannibal?

2

u/kelamity 9h ago

Fuck they suck the toes of whoever whenever don't they?

2

u/AgainstSpace 9h ago

I'm not confident that a lot of Russians would call him a humanitarian. That is an absurd thing to be saying out loud in a serious place.

2

u/mr_martin_1 9h ago

Homeland instructions : suck up as much as you can

2

u/zuiopasdf 8h ago

2

I feel ashamed for the US

2

2

2

2

u/MaxxJag 13h ago

Well, Putin is helping the world with the food and housing crisis...by having his people, North Koreans and Ukrainians reduce their numbers.../s

2

u/BraveLittleTowster 13h ago

He's using the term like "pescatarian"

2

u/Taconinja05 13h ago

Good lord ….how far home have fallen

2

u/Sunscratch 13h ago

He would open up his ass for putin, but unfortunately for him putin prefers boys

2

u/moyismoy 13h ago

It's like they are right now in the worst war sense WW2 with about 2000 dead every single day. Like there was a 9/11 yesterday and almost every day for the past 2 years. Putin is responsible for all of it, the last thing he cares about is humanity

2

u/Wentil 12h ago

You keep using that word.

I don’t think it means what you think it means.
