I fucking despise Electronic Arts with every fiber of my being. I genuinely struggle to think of another publisher that has done as much damage to the gaming industry as EA has. The amount of talent they've wasted, the legendary studios they've shut down, the beloved franchises they've run into the ground, all while squeezing every last penny out of their customers, is genuinely fucking depressing.

These motherfuckers have bought some of the most talented studios in the industry, milked them for whatever they're worth, and then thrown them in the trash the moment they stopped being profitable enough. They took studios with actual passion, creativity, and talented people behind them and turned them into corporate zombies chasing trends, microtransactions, and quarterly profits. And when things inevitably went wrong, it was the developers who lost their jobs while the executives walked away just fine.

I swear to God, I genuinely hope EA goes bankrupt tomorrow. I want to see them lose everything they've spent decades building, not because I want the people working there to suffer, but because I'm so fucking tired of watching a company with that much money and influence repeatedly screw over the very industry that made it successful in the first place.

And the most depressing part? None of it fucking matters. FIFA will keep selling like crazy, people will keep throwing money at Ultimate Team, and EA will continue making billions regardless of how many studios they shut down or how many franchises they ruin. You could write a fucking essay about everything wrong with this company, and tomorrow millions of people would still happily hand them their money. It's honestly infuriating.

"These motherfuckers have bought some of the most talented studios in the industry, milked them for whatever they're worth, and then thrown them in the trash the moment they stopped being profitable enough"

From what I've heard and seen, that doesn't seem to be the case for bioware. EA has been bankrolling their failures for over a decade at this point, I'm surprised they weren't shut down the moment Veilguard flopped, but a whole two years after.

On top of that, if ANY of the shit about Anthem's development is true, then Bioware is damn near wholly responsible for their own downfall. Emphasis on damn NEAR

In all likelihood, they saw that Mass Effect 5 was going nowhere and that was the last straw.

Quick Google search will tell you that the entire production processed was made a complete nightmare because of corporate BS, live service BS, high ranking people in the company constantly getting taken off the project.

I mean, the live service shit is enough. They were designing a game to be an online multiplayer game, EA saw Star wars sales half way through development, and made them change course. It's literally EA's fault. No clue why you're simping for them.

Im simping for EA because I want shit thrown at BioWare? Fuck me silly, guess I’m an EA simp

You're totally ignoring the role that EA had in fucking Veilguard up all by themselves, and blaming Bioware for it. Yes. You're simping for EA if that is the example you chose. It's documented that EA fucked it up, and that's your main argument for why Bioware deserves to be shut down. You clearly never worked in a corporate environment and seen how things like this work.

I’m not talking about Veilguard I’m talking about Anthem. From what I’ve heard about Anthem got given plenty of time to work on Anthem but fucked around until the final couple years

You literally said they should have been closed because of Veilguard, then added what you didn't like about Anthem

Lmao bro, you need to read more I don’t know what else to tell ya. You’re arguing and lecturing me based off a sentiment I didn’t give

At no point did I say anything about the development of Veilguard and you’re saying I’m ignoring EA’s effect on it because? Does it change anything? In my opinion no

I very much doubt EA forced Bioware to make all those dumb writing & artistic decisions for Veilguard

Yeah, you're definitely humping EA. I'm talking to a child who hasn't ever had a corporate job or corporate crunch. They literally had to change the game, to it's core, to be a completely different type of game altogether halfway through development. Any and all resources going to artistic decisions are now the least important part of development because you're halfway through a game and essentially need to restart. If you're acting like the Taash BS had nothing to do with EA, then it's just hilarious to me because everyone was parading in the streets about how EA won't be woke anymore because they were bought by a Saudi company.

I guess I'm in the minority in actually liking veilguard. It wasn't perfect but I liked it more than DA2.

For me, it just didn't really go anywhere. The whole story around Solas was an absolute mess from a writing standpoint (this is 100% tied to having to change from live service multiplayer to single player). All the writing honestly just felt really forced and cobbled together. And while the whole Taash thing didn't piss me off because they were non-binary, the fact that they literally couldn't have a personality except for "OMG. I am a them. Is this what it feels like to be a them" every ten seconds just absolutely made them insufferable, when they should be the most badass character you have. I just can't find an actual positive with the writing. Couldn't get myself to finish it.

Yeah I wasn't a Taash fan. My favorites were Davrin and Emmrich. The rest were ok. I did like the gameplay and some of the story but I've already brain dumped most of it. It was like a somewhat decent marvel movie to me.

There's multiple big reasons for Failguard sucking, and many of them are Biowares fault too.

Give one link to this claim please. Oh wait, you are a literal LLM AI bot. Go unplug yourself and your maker.

Lol I'm an AI bot? Give me a command, lmfao.

Nice not providing a link! I did your "quick google search" and found nothing on it. Go grab a chair and kick it and enjoy the fall.

Where is your link? I have no notification 😂. I won't lie, I'm going off what I read, and what I looked up, without posting links... But you just went STRAIGHT to "you're a LLM!!!" and just want to talk about links I can't see on this thread, and since I'm not a LLM, I am too lazy too search for it. IDC what you say 😂

Wow you legit are an AI. Wish the mods would ban these fucks. I asked YOU for a link to your CLAIM. Either you can't read or your 5% hallucination rate kicked in XD
