It's true, the newest remake didn't even hit their sales numbers enough to continue the series

the thing is, it made a ton of money. But for some reason EA has always had absolutely insane expectations for Dead Space that have never once made sense.

I mean this is very true, it's the same as square enix. What they call a "commercial success" is pretty absurd

The Square ones at least make a little sense when you look at trends and previous FF sales. 16 for example didn't meet expectations but still was an overall success. Just not as high as FF tends to fly. There's aat least logic there.

EA wanted Dead Space 2 to sell more than COD4. Which was just actually never going to happen.
