I think that's largely because the series creator is making Star citizen. Plus there hasn't been a new Ultima in 20 years either.

I haven't bought anything from EA in a long time... But this may well break me.

I could definitely understand holding a long time boycott against a company like EA because they're certainly far from saints in the video game industry.

But at the same time, supporting things like a wing commander remaster also tells them that there is a real demand for their older games that haven't seen daylight in decades, and it may mean more well-produced remasters like their Command & Conquer Remaster from 2020.
