I’m going with Peter Molyneux.

I’m not gonna discredit his contributions.

He’s made some bangers.

BUT…

Let’s just start with the fact that he received funding for his earlier games by lying to investors about his accomplishments and history in game dev.

And I can kind of excuse that, tbh.

But he is famously a tyrant with his staff.

He lies about features in every game.

He’s such a prick he’d make any EA ceo blush.

And he single handedly destroyed kickstarter and started the whole AAA devs using the indie platform to crush indie devs movement.

He had a multibillion dollar studio (lions head) and panhandles to the masses just to do the bare minimal not to get sued and pockets the difference rather than rely on sales.

Bobby fucking Kotick. Used to work at Activision Blizzard iirc and basically every thing he touched turned into shit. Molyneux does NOT compare to Kotick. The damage he done influenced the entire industry, opposed to Molyneux only destroying his former glory. 

Evidently Molyneux did not crush indie gaming, it's arguably even better than ever before, meanwhile AAA gaming is slopified to the point i really not get exited anymore for every AAA thing that either isn't from Nintendo or doesn't somehow have "The Witcher" in it's title

Its funny, I remember all the hate for peter molyneux and the guy is obviously a self absorbed prick, probably was the most hated guy in 2010. But then comes Bobby Fucking Kotick, like some kind of cartoon disney villain, to lower our expectations beyond belief. This guy came to ruin everybodies day, nobody can even make this shit up, for gamers, for devs and eventually even for the shareholders (although they probably ate his shit up in the beginning). 1) STEAM DOESNT DO PHYSICAL MEDIA EITHER!

2) Discs were a net loss no matter how you cut it and relatively no one was buying disc.
