A ball vape is an unlimited supply of vaping power, that needs no maintenance. You plug it in, you turn it on, and you're set. You have an on demand hit ready anytime you want, as long as it's preheated. It's the most premium experience out there, fairly cheap, and insanely reliable.
I personally try to vape in moderation and a ball vape tends to draw me toward more consumption than I really want or need. Not only in the frequency, but the amount that you can vape at once. Some people do want this on demand experience anytime they want. People have medical needs or have a vape all day lifestyle, and to them I would whole heartedly recommend a ball vape or heavy duty plug in unit over any portable if you have a dedicated space for it.
However for me, vaping is mostly a way to relax in the evenings. I strive for moderation.
A tempest 2 has more friction than a ball vape. You have to get it out of a drawer, you get to manage either batteries or butane. You have to consciously monitor your vape while it heats up, and when it's done there's a cooling off period. Sometimes a bit of friction is good. Sometimes the less powerful option is better. Out of sight, out of mind.
I think the greatest thing about the tempest, is that it really does deliver a comparable experience to a ball vape while also being allowed to live in a drawer out of sight. The clouds are insane. It can go outside, and even travel easily. It has a built in backup plan. If my yll 3.0 dies, I can use a torch. The tempest 2 is all mechanical, so there's really not much to worry about as long as I have some spare parts around like an extra screen.
One extra bonus is no longer defending the ball vape from my cats tail. He has never gotten burned, but now I don't have to worry about keeping him out of my office.
Some people might say that I could just put the ball vape in the drawer when I'm done, and get it back out, but the heat up time is like 10-15 minutes, it really makes using it like this not practical.

Never had dabs before wanted to know if I use the balloon attachment and sandwich a lil bit of dab between flower and filled a bag at high heat(like 440f) would it hit as hard as taking a rip off a dab rig or will the effects be way less

Hey, guys! Long time reader, first time poster. I'm sorry if this comes off as being a bit scatterbrained, but here goes:
With so many TEDs being built to accommodate 8mm stems, there have to be a number of other people like me out there doing the Lego thing. I'm prone to tinkering in general, so the idea of being able to build something unique with a bunch of disparate parts is super appealing, and honestly probably a good reason my VAS is difficult to treat.
I've put together a few Frankenvapes over the last two years that work for me, but looking through this sub I don't see a lot of other similar setups and It had me wondering if there were some like-minded folks out there. Do you guys do stuff like this, or mostly just buy a full device and stick with it the way it is? Some stuff like the Tempest 2 was available as just the head for a significantly reduced price, so it stands to reason that some people would be building stuff just for economy reasons. It's something I do frequently, but for whatever reason I just don't see a lot of that in the sub. DAE take advantage of the modularity to build their own? If so, I'd love to know what you've put together and how it works for you.
Plus, I've seen a lot of creativity and ingenuity here, and I want to steal your ideas lol.
I'll go first, so the clear one is a vaphit X tip/cap and 10mm adapter, in a 10mm helix taster, which doubles as a 14mm wpa. I still love the quartz Vaphit stuff, it hits hard as hell and tastes great, and the Helix really tames the heat.
Next is a Dynavap Vong X tip with captive cap and cap armor on an Ed's TNT stem with a TRWW cooling spiral inside, and a 10mm Ti nectar collector tip as a mouthpiece. This one feels like a joint in the hand, and has excellent flavor. Plus, I love the wood/metal aesthetic.
Lastly, the aforementioned T2 head mounted on a sleepyghost515 Padauk stem with 3mm rubies inside, and another 10mm Ti collector as a mouthpiece. It's fantastic to use with water, 10mm or 14mm compatible, and feels great in the hand.
Bonus: a shot of some of my other stuff. Sorry some of it isn't cleaned, I have a couple friends over and they're in rotation when I'm not taking pics, but you can tell analog vapes are my particular weakness, especially TRWW. Thanks for all the great advice/ideas over the years, and I cant wait to hear about or see anything you've put together. Cheers!

Why am I so obsessed with this shit? I have bought three herb vapes in the past two months plus accessories, and I want more!

I see a lot out there, especially in recent years, about ball vapes, especially the Tempest 2 or similar devices. I know that there is newer, better, bigger stuff out there, but I just can't get over how easily Dynavap fits into my day.It is so easy to carry on the go and quick to use.
I'm admittedly a more medical user, so I'm not chasing getting absolutely blasted every time, though I still do quite often. Shout out to Dynavap; if anyone forgot about you, I promise this stoner didn't. Curious if anyone else out there loves this thing as much as me.
(I have the m7 xl stealth and hyper)

Just napped a hyper tip and hyper cap to go with my old simrell vortex and a YLL 3.0 heater. What a combo.

Flavor is not high priority, nor is session toking. I prefer something that can get the job done in one or two hits, and I like small bowls. Efficiency is what I'm after.
Which would better suit my needs?

I only have a venty and very much enjoy it, the fact that the tempest and tornado are one hit devices are very appealing to me, is the tornado worth the extra money or is the extra flavor and ease of use for the tempest 2 just significantly better in the long run? Thanks for any help/info!

Been using the tornado with a torch for a year now and decide to upgrade to the spire wand and all the videos I see of people using it there putting the tornado in the top and then heating but my tornado doesn’t fit in the top and when I put my tornado in the bottom and hold the button it just flashes red and doesn’t heat up the tornado any advice?

I just got my Solo 3 v2 recently and I've got a couple people interested in trying it out to see if they would want to buy one but I'm a little iffy on sharing mouth pieces, are there any caps that would fit on to the XL Glass pipe so I could switch em out for different users without having to buy extra pipes?

Currently making decision to get the Simrell Hydro XL or the Verdavap w/ stem. What might be a preference over the other? Have been leaning towards the HydroXL but the Verdavap with the artisan stem looks sleek and as enticing. Stuck at the crossroads, what TED would you grab?

Is there any reason I should/shouldnt make this fairly large purchase ?- from past and current owners
r/vaporents • u/gearlegs4ever • 6h ago
Have had a few deliveries from GOFO over the years and all of them took an absurd amount of time to actually ship it just straight up never comes... Grinder is out for delivery today but the delivery date isn't until Friday is says. Confusing!

So damn smooth and puts out nice clouds. I have a POTV bubbler as well for convenience but I always find this worth the effort
r/vaporents • u/Historical_Bet9592 • 17h ago
Wondering if i should get the standard or the stainless steel versions.
the stainless steel takes 3-4 weeks to ship, which is my biggest issue with it tbh.
is it even worth getting stainless steel over standard aluminum?
if it's going to be my only grinder i'm wiling to invest but if it's not worth it i'll just go with standard and get it sooner
btw i don't have a grinder so it will be my first one

Hey y'all!
Been out of the game for a little while and sold everything at the exception of my Tempest 2 and TM2.
My TM2 is amazing but I can't seem to find my liking for it as much as other vaporizers I had (crafty, mighty etc etc).
I'm looking to see if anyone has experience with TM2 dosing capsules, if they are any good and any tips and tricks for the TM2.
Thanks in advance!

What is the best battery powered portable dry herb vape that you consider safest to use.
I have a ball vape I use with a bong but I want something that hits nice that I can easily use out on the deck, etc.
By safest I mean quality parts, little or no plastic, hot air travels safest path through it like only touches glass and I guess it has to touch some metal too but you get what I mean. I just want to vape the least toxic way I can.
Thank you.
