Rent seekers. Their flair for active users is literally “xxxx not working”. They gloat that they get paid for nothing

Where does the flair say something about "not working"?

The sidebar says

This is a place for hosts to come together and share ideas and resources to make each other better hosts.

Rules:

Be civil

Be helpful

Posting your own blog is okay, as long as it's relevant

I clicked on some of the threads and didn't see it.

EDIT: I was viewing it through old.reddit.com as I always do, I didn't realize the view that I was missing.

165k hosts. 4.1k Not working

It's their active user theme.

Thank you for explaining!

Holy crap. I always use old.reddit.com, so I didn't see the theme.

(Dumb question, if you don't mind -- does that mean that the subreddit has 165k users, and 4.1k of them are online now?)

Yeah that's what it means

Would the joke be that they are online, therefore not working?

That's how I read it too

It's probably because many of them are over-leveraged on their Airbnb fiefdoms, and reducing their ancillary revenue makes their margins more difficult. To which I say, GOOD.

It's not the reason for the American housing crisis, but it's definitely a non-trivial contributor to it.
