I can guess that they trained you on you advanced class abilities, but how did it work exactly? I know that back then, you got your advanced class at level 10. Did you have to get all your abilities from them? If I remember correctly, the skill tree as we know it didn't exist and instead there was probably a cross-discipline system where you spend points to upgrade your character. (I could be wrong.)

Hi Everyone!
I recently started playing SWTOR and I really enjoy immersing myself in the Star Wars universe. The storylines are engaging, but I canāt shake this feeling that the game world itself feels⦠a bit lifeless.
I donāt feel like my character is truly part of a living, breathing world with other players. Most interactions feel repetitive, and I havenāt encountered much (if any) actual roleplay between players.
Is this just the nature of SWTOR in 2025, or am I missing something? Are there servers, communities, or ways of playing that make the world feel more alive? Iād love to hear your experiences.
Thanks for your answers in advance :)

Simple question for my fellow Swtor players, how many of ya play Operations?

I just got back again to swotr after like years. And just finished my one month subscription and play the latest expansion.
And i noticed like there are more new FOMO players in this game, and they're just rude and even like a diehard starwars fans and keep telling/forcing people their ideal POV on how to play the characters/ how to make the look of the character for each classes "supposed to be"
Like it's an MMORPG (Emphasize on the RPG) ffs, Everyone have different perspectives and wants on how their characters want to be.
I really miss the first KOTFE & KOTET era where there are many active players & new players too, but the community were still very nice and helpful. š¤·

Ex employee here, possibly looking to sell, does anyone know a rough price for these BioWare studio edition?
Edit - removed the s from editions to prevent confusion, only have the 1.
Edit 2 - Now posted on EBay, happy to post internationally. Link removed.
Edit 3 - Someone has reported an issue where it claims it cannot be shipped to the USA, International shipping is on so looking in to why that error is popping up. Will update when fixed.
Edit 4 - Had to re-list to allow bids from the USA: https://ebay.io/m/mFY1O4

Hey everyone, i'm considering about giving another shot to swtor after years of travelling through different mmo's. But first i want to explain myself.
I love mmorpg as a genre and i love exploring massive worlds with tons of quest and existing in that universe with my own character. So the mmo's i played before; as my main mmo Wow and then FF14. I recently played GW2 and Lotro and i invested hundreds of hours each. I gave a shot ESO once again but it didnt click with me even if i went all the way to endgame. I played a lots of different mmo's too, smaller ones like from east or tried hard p2w mmo's too like Neverwinter.
So currently i just feel like im done with Lotro and want to give Swtor another try. But mostly i like the classic oldschool mmo feeling, with the world exploration, hud elements, in-game events, questing with other people and clearing dungeons.
Also i really care about my immersion to the universe so im considering buying the Twilek race from the market and fufill my Darth Talon fantasies. It will surely make the game click with me easier.
But as i said, i played until level 18 and im still not sure if this game is going to give me what i am looking for in the endgame if i invest time?
I want to be convinced and i want to enjoy this mmo too. Please convince me :)

So I am paying through the Fallen Empire storyline. We found the gravestone that's been stuck in the swamp sinking for 1,000 years. This just drives me nuts. Do people even know how long a thousand years is?!?!
This is an advanced technological spacecraft, it is not going to be air tight within a hundred years. You can't let an aircraft sit for a single year without much needed maintenance before flight.
It was buried in mud for so long nothing would be functional. The engines caked with mud, ect. You can't tell me rust doesn't exist in a galaxy far far away. Is this one of those humidity free swamps?
No need to point out the Star wars animals that feels on power cables, but even if all the wiring was alien tech and beyond the breakdown of time, there are more questions.
With the advances in technology how could they even understand how to fly such an ancient machine? You could say they could read the computers screens, but the language would have changed so much it would like modern people looking at hieroglyphs.
Should I just ignore all the glaring problems with this and enjoy the fantasy?

It's been a while since I played SWTOR and I'm interested in creating a new Sith Warrior and playing a soft RP focused playthrough, from the class story to the latest expansions.
Can a Sith Warrior have a believable redemption arc over the story, from Light Side choices to eventually joining the Republic after KOTET?

Been a Star Wars fan my whole life, so wanted to give this game a try. Downloaded the game, made an account, created a character and bought a couple of cosmetics, ran around the starter area for a bit then logged off...
...and today I get an email from EA stating I've been permanently banned.
Is this common? Has this happened to anyone else recently? Never in my life have I been banned from a MMO. Completely killed my desire to continue.

This is the first time you meet Nadia which means she hasnāt even begun her training yet, and even she already has one.

I know this gets asked often but what is your least favorite planet that isnāt Hoth or Corellia. I personally HATE Coruscant. It is legitimately my least favorite planet in the whole game I would gladly take 3 Hothās and 5 Corellias to avoid it. I just hate that you have to taxi everywhere and I find the missions dull. Any time I have a republic character I have to take several days because I just canāt get through Coruscant. I know there are other planets that are taxi heavy like Nar Shaddaa and Corellia but I find the stories to be interesting. I donāt know just curious what other people donāt like and donāt just want the usual Hoth and Corellia.

For me, Shadow of Revan is the best by a landslide and while I enjoy parts of it, I donāt really like Legacy of the Sith

You mean to tell me that in a galaxy full of powerful wizards with laser swords, advanced super-weapons, ancient alien civilizations, and horrors beyond comprehension, you can simply win with the power of Deez HandsTM ? Genuinely how is my smuggler still alive? Homie doesn't even wear heavy armor like Havoc Squad. Exactly what was on the food during Old republic era for John Womanizer to be able to beat sith lords to death?
