Graphic Novels / Manga / Comics Mecha Books
Hi all! I have been looking for any book recommendations about mecha. I keep finding the same small handful online when I look on my own. It’s probably niche so that makes sense, but any recommendations would be great and appreciated!
I’m hoping to find something with a good mix of fun combat scenes, interesting mechanics, political intrigue, and great characters/development.
For reference, something like Gundam Witch from Mercury, Darling in the Franxx, Code Geass, or even Zoids would all fit the bill - but I’m not looking for manga, more traditional novels. I would also like to stay away from YA if possible.
Thanks in advance!

The biggest source of mecha you are going to find is Battletech.
Battletech has a lot of books that havent aged well. Battletech has a lot of books that actually stand uo great. Battletech also has a few authors who havent aged well.
The Warrior trilogy is quite cheesy. Blood of Kerensky can get a bit YA. (Lots of the kids from the older novels having to step up)
I think the Jade Phoenix trilogy stands up quite well. Pretty close to heinlein imho. Weird society, sex, giant robots and politics.
Stackpole is pretty consistent, but hes consistently stackpole if you get my drift.

Yep, there are a ton of Battletech novels. Not great literature, but plenty of fun political intrigue and mech battles.
