Bluepost from a realistic and pragmatic military perspective the Protoss are probably the most noncredible armed force in fiction:

their infantry have no guns, their tanks can only be crewed with their dead, their artillery is either so absurdly slow that it must be accompanied by transports at all times, or so absurdly huge that AA guns can shoot it

oh and they also have frontline wizards that commit ritual suicide when out of mana.

only their air/space force can be taken seriously

I know EG hasn’t competed in StarCraft 2 for a while, but it was a bummer to read this. TL and EG were the first eSports teams I became a fan of and closely followed. The days of Idra, Huk, Machine, InControl, LzGamer, Demuslim, etc. were some of the most exciting times in eSports history in my opinion. Sad to see EG go.

Arcade/Co-op What`s your opinion on Nova Covert Ops?

How you feel about this small campaign? Both gameplay and story.

I personally enjoyed various missions, but felt story was weak, and Nova got almost no characterisation and development, while other characters were basically non-existent, sadly.

Fluff Finished the SC1 campaign for the first time!

I played when I was young, but I wasn't very good, so I gave up and never finished the campaign. 20+ years later i've finally finished it. I started it up again because I was inspired to play it after going to Blizzcon. The campaign was super fun, and i've already started on the Brood War campaign.

(To be tagged...) Drop Hacker in D1. I hate these losers.

His name is vegeta and he plays random. In this particular game Vegeta didn't like my cannon rush so he lifted his CC and stopped playing. Taunting me in the chat. Suddenly the victory screen appears in his favour. All I can do is rewind the game. I don't know why he keeps his mmr in Diamond. I don't care. These people are disgusting.

Their design and depiction in cinematics suggest that those are pretty close to IRL jets.

Is there any more info about this ?

After surrendering to the Terrans, the Hydralisks were pushed off the map, got jobs at another game company, and learned the art of park management.

They forgot how to burrow and morph into eggs.

(To be tagged...) Interesting hack

• Upvotes

So a barcode guy in a 2v2 just announced his intention to 'take my MMR' and then a few seconds later the game instantly ended... sort of? I/everyone became a spectator, as shown by when I press enter to chat. The game was frozen and people left the game shortly after, but not instantly and not all at once.

Match history did say defeat for me, so this is apparently a hack that instantly ends the game with victory for the hacker.

Seems like something that needs to be addressed asap because that'll destroy a ladder real quick (I do understand people have been talking about drop hackers lately, but I'm not sure if this is the same thing).

(To be tagged...) Spotting drop hacks and lag hacks

Here is what I built in a few days

- It covers 1v1 in EU, NA and KR, all leagues.

- Every account gets a suspicion score from 0 to 100, with the reasons written out.

- It's tuned to leave smurfs and strong players alone. A smurf on a 23-0 run is not flagged.

- About thirty accounts are flagged right now across the three regions. Screenshot below (With 3 players).

It shows anomalies, not proof. Map hack isn't covered.

If people are interested, I can put it online, so anyone can check a player by name before or after a game. Would you use it? What would you want in it?
